Added 7/26/18: Above picture is "Song" actually her name is Snuggles. Four years ago I wrote her (personalty and appearance wise) into this story because I was saddened by her death and wished her to live on in fiction. Now onto the chapter...

I ran down the alley, it was a dead-end and that's just what I wanted. I flew up to the roof of the closest building. The woman who saved me ran into the alley, yelling for this Artemis person again, then she stopped.

She appeared to be thinking about something when I landed behind her, therefore cornering her in the dead end.

"Who are you and who is Artemis?" I asked.

She spun around and stared at me. "I am Juliet Butler. Artemis is a close friend, you look like him."

"Oh, thank you for helping me." Could this be my brother she's talking about? Maybe, but I shouldn't get my hopes up, I mean what are the chances that a close friend of my brother would save my life?

"Why were they after you?"

What was I to say to that? 'They gave me weird supper powers then decided to kill me?' Yeah, I don't think so. "Um, I don't know." She's not going to buy that what was I thinking?

Juliet narrowed her eyes. "It seemed like there was a reason behind it."

She's not buying it. Well, that just great. I sighed. "Well, everyone has a reason for doing something, doesn't mean I know what theirs was."

"Where are your parents?"

"At home," possibly.

"What's your name?"

Wow, this girl asks a lot of questions. "Elizabeth Storm."

"Do you want me to give you a ride home?" asked Juliet.

"No." I smiled my vampire smile, and that was my mistake. As soon as I turned to leave I felt a hard knock on the back of my head and black spots started appearing at the edge of my vision.

The last thing I heard was, "No one smiles that much like Artemis."

*************

I woke up in the backseat of a car. I'm not sure what type of car, but judging by the inside it was probably expensive.

"'Bout time you woke up."

I looked up to see Juliet driving. "Why did you kidnap me?"

"Why do you look, smile, and sound, somewhat, like Artemis?"

"How would I know. I've never met the girl." Yeah, I know he's a guy, but I'm not going to let her know that.

I saw she held the steering wheel tighter. "Artemis is a boy."

"But isn't Artemis the name of a female goddess?"

She didn't respond.

I frowned. "I'm sorry, that was rude."

I could see Juliet smile in the rearview mirror. "Now you don't sound like him, he never says sorry."

I smiled back.

"While you were out a did some research on you. I found out that the couple named David and Martha Storm took care of a girl named Elizabeth and that they were found dead last year. Those guys who were after you. I thought if I left you alone they might kill you next time."

"How do you know they'll come back?"

"I've never heard of an assassin not coming back to finish the job."

"Where are we going anyway? And where's my cat?"

"I called Artemis, he wants to meet you so I'm taking you to him. Your cat's in the box right here." She patted the box on the seat next to her.

"Song's OK though, right?"

Juliet looked at me in the mirror. "Song, that's an interesting name for a cat. Yeah, she's fine. She doesn't seem to like me very much though."

"Song's protective. She doesn't like those who try to hurt, or kidnap, me," I replied smugly.

We took a private plane at the airport. It was the first time I had never been in an airport, you don't have a lot of need for them when you can fly.

"So, where in the world are we going, Julie?" I looked over the plane we were taking, on the side it had written in green letters, The Jade Princess. "Who's the Jade Princess?"

Juliet was putting bags away on selves and the box Song was in on one of the seats. "We, my new friend, are going to Ireland." She grinned. "And I'm the Jade Princess."

"Oh, cool." I've never been to Ireland, wonder what it's like. Moving to where Song's box was, I opened it and pulled out the small kitty. "Hey, Song! Ya miss me." She purred so I'm guessing she did, or she was just glad to be out of that box. I'm going with the first one. "We got a long ride ahead of us, sweetie," I said in a whisper as I sat in a seat with Song purring happily in my lap.

I'm going to point out, though you probably already know, I don't own Artemis Fowl. The only things in this book I own are the plot, Elizabeth Storm and Song.
