"What do you want from me, Spiro?" I spat.

I had been led to a room metal with only a table and two chairs in it, all-metal. Currently, I was handcuffed to one of those chairs, by both hands.

"Don't worry, I'm not after the cube this time. I don't think you even have it anymore or you would have already started selling them," said John Spiro. "I want to know how you're alive. I want to know how you have barely aged since I last saw you. I believe you have the secret to eternal youth."

I looked at him like he was insane. "You're insane!"

"I don't think so." Spiro started pacing in a circle around me. "You see, I've been following everything you do. Five years ago, you went missing for almost three years. You came back just how you left. Same age, same everything. And I want to know where you were for those three years, but that's not all. Oh no, not even close. Two years ago your family reported you dead, then seven months later you show back up at your school." He stopped pacing and turned towards me. "How do you do it, Artemis?"

I raised an eyebrow and shrugged.

He slammed his hands down on the table in front of me. "Answer me!"

"Why should I? I know your type, even if I tell you are still going to kill me. Or whatever you plan on doing," I said, staring at him.

Spiro straightened. "Blunt, you know what to do."

A Butler sized man who the whole time had been standing in the corner stepped forward. "I've been waiting so long for this. I'm finally getting back at you for my teeth." He raised one hand smacked me across the face.

"Ow." I wished my hands weren't cuffed so I could rub it.

"Do you want to talk now?" asked Spiro.

I shrugged. "Not really."

"Again then."

Once again Blunt stuck me.

I gave a mocking laugh. "That all you've got?"

I could almost see the steam coming out of Spiro's ears.

Spiro walked back over to the table. "If you tell me what I want to know, I'll let you go. You have my word, Arty. And I wouldn't lie to you now, would I?" He leaned across the table right into my face "Now tell me the truth!"

I pretend to think about it. "Okay."

He seemed taken back. "Then tell me now!"

I looked around the room in a secretive matter. "You know the story of Artemis the goddess. Well, Artemis was reincarnated, but could only be reincarnated into someone named Artemis. Sadly, she got a boy. You see I'm Artemis the Goddess, not Artemis Fowl." I gave him a big grin and leaned back in the chair.
