*Two Weeks Later!*
I was being wheeled out of the hospital. Jack wanting to race me down the hall, the nurse trying to get him not to, and I was gripping the handles, knowing there was no convincing Jack. Once the elevator doors opened up, Jack took off. He flew past other visitors and nurses, and past the front desk, and immediately stopped in front of the sliding glass doors. "There's Rian's car!" Jack yelled, pushing me towards the small grey car that pulled up. Alex got out and handed me some flowers. "Here's to you finally getting out." He said with a smile.
"Aww, thanks, Lex!" I said, and hugged him with my good side. I didn't have much trouble getting from the wheel chair to the car, and soon we were off.
It didn't take long to get to my apartment, since it was in the city. I now lived alone, since Eli was gone, and his name was never even on the lease, so I was looking forward to the peace and quiet I'd get once I was home.
"So, we put a mini fridge in your room, for water and pills, and whatever you need, and we got some snacks in there, incase you get hungy, and I'll have someone come three times a day to make you food, so you don't get out of that bed." Alex told me.
"What if I have to pee?"
"Damn it. Didn't think that one though."
I laughed at Alex.
"You don't have to be so protective of me, you know. I'm a big girl."
"Yeah, but its my job as you best friend."
"Okay, if you say so." I said with a sigh.
Once we got home, Alex had to carry me upstairs, because our lack of wheelchair, and once the door opened, a bunch of people jumped up and yelled, "SURPRISE!" I nearly fell out of Alex's arms.
Alex planned me a welcome home/get well soon party, with a bunch of friends. I was laid on the couch, and someone turned on my stereo, but the party really got started when the drinks were opened.
At first, a bunch of people came over to me and told me sorry, but soon I was left alone on my couch, like I wanted.
After a bit, I felt the old couch sink further down. I looked over and saw none other than Zack sitting next to me.
"Whats wrong, Zack? Party isn't fun." I asked, really wondering why he wasn't picking up some random girl.
"I'm just not really in the mood for partying." He told me.
"Me neither." I agreed with him. As he sat, and I stole side glances at him, I realized how attractive he was. His toned body, his tattoos, his straight nose, and hazel eyes, and full lips, and the cute flare the nose ring added to his persona. I got lost in thought of him, and he soon broke the silence.
"So, I get first duty of you. Alex is having us watch you, and make sure you're okay for the first week at home."
"Oh, I'm sorry. I'm not that interesting or anything." I said with apology in my voice.
"No, no, I didn't mean it like that, I just didn't want you to think I was being weird when I stay after this party."
"Oh, well, thank you. For being kind enough to look after me."
"Its no problem, I mean, what already happened to you its horrible, you really don't deserve it. I know I've only met you once, but when I did, you were way to nice for this to have happened."
"Thank you, but you've met me more than once, I come to at least half your shows in most tours." I told him, being unable to actually count the number of shows.
"What? I never see you, are you in the audience?"
"No, I'm backstage. I'm normally with Alex or Jack."
"Really? I can't remember."
"Well, you almost always go and talk to the groupies, and Rian just goes to the dressing room."
"Oh."
"I'm sorry, that was mean of me to say." I told him, regretting my words and shaking my head.
"Hey, don't worry about it. I know what you mean, I get a lot of groupies with me after shows, its just the truth. Don't ever be sorry for telling the truth."
Don't be sorry for telling the truth? But the truth has caused so much pain.
"Hey, do you want me to take you to your room? Its getting kinda loud in here." I agreed just as the music was turned up another level and the smell of beer got stronger.
Zack picked me up, bridal style, and carried me into my room. With all my bones healing, it didn't hurt as much, but it still stung.
Zack plopped me on my bed and sat next to me on it.
"You didn't have to carry me, I could've managed to walk."
"Yeah, but it woulda hurt, right?"
"A little, I guess."
"Then I had to carry you." He told me with a little smirk.
We stayed in silence for a little bit, until he asked me, "What exactly happened with that ex of yours? Like, what was the fight about?"
"I figured Alex or Jack would be asking me this first. Well, he came home drunk one night, and he smelled like other girls. I ignored this, and just tried to calm him down, because he was screaming. But the idea that I was doing something behind his back popped into his head, and the fight started."
"Fight? Please tell me you gave the bastard a good hit back."
"I managed to, I think, but I kinda blacked out pretty quick."
"Oh, well I promise you, by my self, that anything like that will never happen again to you."
"Thank you. I honestly feel a lot better." I told Zack, and I quickly drifted off into sleep, with Zack still sitting up right, watching out for me.

*Back to 3rd again!*
Zack stayed like that for a while, until the party died down. He promised Alis he'd take care of her, but why? He hardly knew the girl. Zack felt though, as if he had to protect the girl. As if he had to take care of her.
What a jerk he had been. She came to over half their concerts, yet he never noticed her. Why? Was he really that into hooking up with random fans? Damn.
Zack felt terrible at the thought of completely ignoring Alis. She was so sweet, never wanting to hurt anyone's feelings, always getting the worst crap from people. She has the biggest heart, but she gets hurt the most.
He stayed in that same position for a while, looking down at Alis' peaceful sleeping face. She was so beautiful. The little thing was about five feet, a lot shorter than him. She had a lot of hair, but it was always put up so it looked shorter than it really was. She was so fragile, yet she had taken so much.
