In which Iris Michaels finds her home within a circus of outcasts and finds herself in a forbidden love.

Iris Michaels walked into the building which read "P.T. Barnum's Museum of Curiosity" early the next morning. As she walked through a small section between the bleachers which opened up to the main stage for the acts, Iris' eyes lit up as she looked around the room at the hundreds of colors and ropes hanging from the ceiling. There was a medium size block in the center of the circle and small multi colored lights imbedded in the ground around the circle. Two purple silk ribbons hung from the ceiling next to two ropes hanging next to them. Along with that, there was a hanging hoop and a long wire across the room that stood very tall over the crowd.
"Woah." Iris said spinning in circles, hypnotized by the many colors and acts hanging from the ceiling and standing tall.
"Stunning isn't it?" P.T Barnum walked up behind Iris as she stood stunned from seeing the performing center for the first time. Iris quickly whipped around upon hearing Phineas' deep voice from behind her.
"It's amazing." Iris replied.
The rest of the people piled into the hay filled pit looking very nervous. A familiar face soon came into Iris' field of vision as Anne walked her way, holding her arms over her torso uncomfortably.
"I don't know if I can do this, Iris." The two girls had become very close over the past couple days as they comforted each other while explaining their pasts to each other. They found multiple similarities between the two that they soon bonded over.
"Hey, look at me." Iris said taking Anne's hand in her own. "I am nervous too. Hell, I'm petrified. But we can do this. We can show them that we are just like everyone else. That we deserve to be loved. Together."
Iris and Anne shared a smile as their attention was soon taken by P.T opening up the wide doors in excitement and rushing through them. He grabbed his red sequined jacket from the hook as he quickly through it over his arms and onto his body.
"Come alive, Come alive. Go and light your light. Let it shine so bright. Reaching up to the sky And it's open wide you're electrified.

"I see it in your eyes, you believe that lie that you need to hide your face. Afraid to step outside, so you lock the door, but don't you stay that way." Iris sang to Anne continuing the song as she held onto her nervous friends hand, walking them toward the curtain in front of them that soon opened, Barnum pushing them all out on stage.
"No more living in those shadows, you and me we know how that goes." Letty sang as she started to become comfortable on stage.
"Cause once you see it oh, you'll never ever be the same."
"We'll be the light that shining, bottle up and keep on trying. You can prove there's more to you, you cannot be afraid." Anne and Iris sang together smiling at one another before running off in opposite directions to claim their spots on their ring and ribbon for the trapeze act above the singers and dancers.

The members of the circus all sang as they performed their choreographed dance that they practiced for hours on end, wanting it to be executed perfectly for the skeptics.
"Come one! Come all! Come in! Come on!"
"To anyone who's bursting with a dream." Anne sang twirling from her ring in her acrobatic position.
"Come one! Come all! You hear, the call!"
"For anyone who's bursting for a way to break free!" Iris sang back from the other side of the pit hanging from her ribbon. They then lowered Iris, WD, and Anne to the ground to join the rest of the circus in the pit for the last dance section.
"Break free! Break free!!"
"When the world becomes a fantasy. And your more than you could ever be. Cause your dreaming with your eyes wide open. And you know you can't go back again, to the world that you were living in. Cause your dreaming with your eyes wide open." Everyone in the pit and even in the crowd sang as they clapped their hands to the beat of the song.
The song came to a close with another use of the chorus and a couple belts from Letty. Iris danced along side her friend and her brother as they all held hands at the end of the song relieved that the crowd began to cheer.
The loud sound of clapping and cheering rang throughout Iris' ears as the crowd went wild before them. Iris finally felt what it was like to have people love her and appreciate her talents. Her eyes welled up as everyone in the pit began to hug each other. They were a family now. They had each other. They had the crowd on their side. And for once in their lives they felt they belonged someone.
