1.Departure

"Hand luggage?"

"Check"

"Clothes?"

"Check"

"Makeup"

"Check"

"Fresh underwear?"

"Check"

"Condoms and sex toys?"

"Chec- wait what?!"

"Hahaha! Oh my god, look at that face! Priceless." A very pregnant Quinn mercilessly laughs at her.

"Yeah, yeah very funny!" Addylin snapped at Quinn, pouting slightly.

"Oh, I'm just joking, Linnie. I just wanted to make that sad look on that pretty face disappear. It's not like you will never see us again, we'll come visit you every month or even week. You know I can't stay long without listening to your nerdy brain quote thingies." Quinn replied, smirking slightly.

"Fine! You maybe convinced me there but how will I cope without my kinda really bloated aunt and her hot-shot son? You guys are my everything, I can't just leave you just because they suddenly decided it was time for me to go to their home place." She childishly whined, but she knew she had no other option.

"Excuse me! but what do you mean by 'kinda really bloated aunt'? Accusing an extremely fit woman is not helping your case young lady! I won't care that you're almost 25, I still have the right to ground you. And I didn't miss the comment about a certain 'hot-shot son'."

"Ahh umm, I didn't mean that aunty Quinn, I'm sorry.  You know I love you, right? And about the 'hot-shot' part..." She trailed off.

Just then the off white wooden door of the room swung wide open and there stood a heavily panting Ashton.

"What the hell you guys! Me and Jason have been working our asśes off, loading all the heavy luggage into the car while you two are bickering like a married couple. And let me tell you Mom, Jase wouldn't be too happy about the last part." He lectured us with an annoyed but amused tone.

"Jase will be able to take care of himself for a couple of minutes without my assistance. Plus, I just have no less than half an hour left to spend with Linnie, so let me do it in peace. Bottom line, pregnant ladies and women are not supposed to carry heavy load, Ash. You're grounded!" Quinn sassily replied him.

"Moooommm! You can't ground me anymore. I'm 26, a legal adult. And we don't even live in the same house, for goodness sake!" Ash whined.

"Hahaha! You know you can't beat your mom in an argument, Ash. Even if your all old and wrinkly, Quinn will still mange to ground you. But for now, blame it on the hormones." Addylin told Ash with a wide grin on her face.

"True there, Roberts. That's the one thing about mom that will never change." Ash replied with his smug wink.

"Ok that's it, let's head down stairs and load the rest of the luggage." Quinn said, obliviouslyr trying to distract the pair from teasing her more.

Addylin descended down the stairs carrying her deep purple backpack, filled with her essentials, trailed by Ashton aiding a Quinn who was clutching her huge belly protectively.

They were greeted by the sight of slightly sweating Jason, who still had a beige coloured suitcase in his hands.

"Ah, Finally! You guys seem to grace me with your presence. Half an hour Quinn and Linnie, you guys took half an hour just to check if anything is left out. You're gonna miss your flight like this Linne." He said, feeling a bit flustered, but with a ghost of a smile showing humour.

"Then let me miss it, I'm really not willing to go to L.A. I wanna stay here. Argh! But I have to put on my big girls pants and act brave. I can do this, I can do this." She kept repeating the phrase in her head.

Suddenly a tanned hand was flung over her shoulder, "You can do this, Lin. It's not that bad, L.A. Is even bigger and more advanced than Seattle. You will get a chance to explore new this and learn more about your parents." Ash encouragingly told her, pulling her closer to his side using his hand. At the same time Jason placed her last suitcase into the car and secured the load with some rope.

"Yup, listen to Ash. For once in his lifetime he said something worth while. Oh, and if any boy tries to make a stupid move on you, you have my number on a speed dial so just ring me up." Jason says with a crocked grin on his face.

Addylin and Quinn chuckled at his comment about Ashton and boys while Ashton gets all defensive and sulks, untangling his arms from Addylin and crossing them across his wide chest.

"Ok that's enough, now let's get moving before change my mind about leaving you guys and Seattle and move to L.A." Addylin quickly tell them and look around the house that has been aiding me for almost more than six years. She would really miss it and it's lively, bubbly owners, a lone tear rolls down end cheek. Seeing this Quinn immediately engulfs her into a warm soothing hug, indirectly telling everything is going to be all right.

Few mor minute pass and the trio bid Addylin a save farewell and warn her to call as soon as she lands in Los Angels or she will face their wrath.

Everything was ready and tightly packed for Addylin to start her journey. But it was not just a normal journey from Seattle to Los Angeles, but it was one of the most life changing journeys of her six years of long term limbo.

The driver took off to the airport as she leaned her head on the window frame of the car's backseat, she could see the reflection of her small family get smaller and smaller.
