Emilia

I felt like a new person. My body, the blood, hearing Emma through her thoughts, and the strange pull of the blood. It wasn’t normal. But we weren’t normal. We’re aliens. The way the blood pulsed when Frank had stood right in front of us must mean that he has the same blood. That can only mean that he’s an alien too! Ah-ha! Just when I thought I’d heard it, I find out aliens exist… At lest they’re gorgeous!

But what about Columbia. She was still chatting away, and fixing her make up in the mirror while I pretended to listen. I could care less about what she was saying. I wanted to listen to Frank talk, and the things he has to say. I wanted to hear all about being a Transylvanian, and his home. And now our home too. I had wondered if we were the only ones to have this done too. We’re half breeds, technically. Do they accept half breeds? I ad all these questions I wanted to ask Frank N Furter, but he was busy with Emma. I felt like the older sister here. The more mature and responsible one. I didn’t mind that he wanted her first, I’m not a crazy sex person.

But most of all, I wanted to know why us. Why he chose Emma and I. He could’ve taken anyone he wanted, and done the same thing. What is it about us?

“Columbia, how well do you now Frank?” I wanted to know if she had any personal relationships with him.

“Pretty well. Why?” I hate when people don’t elaborate.

“I was jus wondering what he’s like.” I felt superior over Columbia. Must be a Transylvanian thing.

“There’s not much to him. Scratch the surface, and you’ll just find more surface. Don’t get to hung up on him.” She was snobby about him.

“Uh, okay.” I just shrugged and walk towards the door.

“Where are you going?” She had her hand on her hip.

“To look around. Get a feel for the place.”

“You really should just stay here. The master doesn’t like it when his orders aren’t obeyed.” She ad first hand knowledge. I wonder what she had done.

“Well fine then.” I just sat on her bed staring at her while she did her thing.

Columbia didn’t have much to herself. She was very plain. Her hair was very short, and a shinning red. She was skinny, with little curves. She also had an attitude problem. She was obviously protective of her relationship, if any, with Furter. My guess is something happened between them.

“So what’s your story then?” Now who’s interested in small talk.

“What do you mean?” I have many stories.

“Why did Frank chose you for his project? What’s so special about you?” This was going to be a fun night.

“I don’t know. It’s not like he asked me. I was wondering the same thing.” I bowed my head and folded my hands.

“Hrmph.”

I heard a creaky sound out in the hallway, and giggling. And then Emma’s dirty thoughts filled my head. And in a mocking and sarcastic, but friendly voice, I mentally told Emma to shut up, that it was gross to know all that. And I rolled my eyes while laughing. Columbia gave me a dirty look, obviously not aware of the mind reading.

I walked to the door and opened it to look for Frank, ignoring Columbia’s protests. I saw him standing by the lift as he watched Emma walk away down the hallway. He turned around and smiled at me.

“Come.” He held his arms out for me.

In the empty hallway, the sound of my heels clicking against the floor was echoing. I embraced Frank and he began kissing me. It felt different than the first time we kissed. Like we connected.

“Frank, I-” I had to push him back a little so I could tell him what I wanted. “I don’t want to, you know, right now.”

He looked at me curiously, and then smiled. “Then tell me what you do want.”

“I have questions, and I want to know why us?”

He just smiled, and grabbed my hand. He was leading me down the hallway in the way Emma had walked. He stopped at two large doors, and pushed them open. Inside was pretty big library.

Emma sat at a small table in the center of the room, reading a book. Frank led me over to her, and we both sat down.

“Hey girl.” Emma said to me. “Hi Frank.” She smiled.

“Hey Em.” I said back.

“I know you both have the same question, and want the reason why I chose you two.” We nodded. “To be honest, I had been watching you both for a while. Observing your lives, and waiting for the right chance to move in. Emma, I watched you leave the bar that night and saw the drugs you had taken. I followed you as you went into that alley and passed out there. I chose you because you didn’t have anything to lose.”

Emma was silent, and had her eyes on the table as she listened to him.

“Emilia, you were different. You had everything to lose. But I wanted you because you were had a resemblance towards Emma. You were just like her in your own way, and the likeness was exactly what I needed. You two are like non-identical twins who’ve never met. It was perfect. And when those guys attacked you when you were going to the club, Emilia, it was the perfect time for me to involve myself.”

I didn’t know what to say. My head was spinning a bit. Emma just looked at me. Neither of us knew what to say to Frank or each other. It was rather a curious to me that Frank N Furter watched us to see if we were what we needed. It wasn’t what I was expecting.

He stood up, and smiled at us both. He walked towards the door, and turned around to speak to us once more.

“Don’t worry, you’re safe here with me. I can give you everything you want and more.” He opened the doors, “And don’t be late for dinner.”

After he left, the library felt cold and quiet.

“I had completely forgotten about that night in the alley and the drugs.” Emma said to me.

“Tell me about it. I didn’t want to remember almost being raped and killed.” Emma shot a shocked looked at me.

“You what?” She didn’t believe it.

“Yeah, it’s true. Pretty scary thing to experience. But Frank saved me before they could do any real harm.”

“Damn, nothing like that’s ever happened to me.” She was just shaking her head.

The silence filled the air again. We were both lost in our thoughts. A few minutes passed, and Emma stood up, “Hey, want to join me outside? It’s a little hot in here and I need air.”

I stood up too. “Sure.”

We went out front, and Emma lit a cigarette. She offered me one, but I told her no. The night was slightly chilly, and calm. I enjoyed it. There was a soft rattling noise coming from the garden by the gate. Two men appeared from it with greasy smiles. My eyes popped out of my head.

It was them!

“Hello sugar!” Drake said while Warren laughed.
