Chapter 9

*Celine Dion, The Boss POV*

Rene and I went home early after having a meeting with all the staffs.

While we're still in the car, I decided to break the silence and talk to him.

"Rene, when will Aldo be coming for the official changing of CEO event?" I asked.

"Around the middle of July, but he will be reaching Florida much earlier, in about a few day's time."

"Wow! A few days?! I haven't seen him in quite a while too," I said.

"Yes, I'm glad that he agreed to take over my position. It's not everyday that you'll appoint someone trustworthy," he said while smiling.

I looked at Rene while giving him a peck on his lips.

I couldn't help but feel happy for him.

Happy that he's finally free from all the stress of work.

"Now that you're finally free, we can have more time at home, together with my mom and the kids!"

I could see the joy of his face when I said that.

He held my hand and said,"Yes, and more time loving my beautiful, beautiful wife!"

Awww, my darling................

It was around 2:30pm when I decided to go pick R.C back from school.

Our driver, Nick, was slightly startled to see me, but greeted me and proceeded to start the car.

"Hello ma'am! It's been awhile since you've last came with me to pick RC up," he said while giving me a smile.

"Ahaha, yes. I figured that since I'm free this afternoon, why not just tag along"

"Haha, alright ma'am!"

I asked Nick to turn on the radio since I wanted to listen to what's the current hit.

'You know what to do with that big fat butt? Wiggle wiggle wiggle..........'

"What in the world is that? Is that even a song?" I said while disapproving it.

"But it's really catchy.......,"said Nick while grooving to it.

"Ugh, back in my my days, the lyrics of a song had to actually have meanings, unlike nowadays.................Nick, can you please change the station?"

"As you wish ma'am"

'Let me be your soldier, I'll stand up for you, when the walls come crashing down, I'll be the one to hold you............'

I got no idea what's the tittle of this song but judging by the voice, it's definitely Celeste Dionn.

I listened to the lyric of this song and I fell in love with it.

Every word describes my situation with Rene very well.

I will be his soldier!

After an hour's drive, we've finally reached R.C's school.

I saw in a corner that he was holding hands with a familiar girl.

Wait!

Is it that girl that he was making out with the last time??

I bolted out of the car and marched all the way to his direction.

He didn't see me as I was facing his back.

I cleared my throat and said ,"Mind explaining to me what exactly are both of you doing?"

He turned around and was shocked to see me, and almost immediately, he let go of her hand.

"Hi.......Hi mom! What are you doing here? I thought you were at work.......,"he said while trying to give a smile.

"Well, I can come home which ever time I want, can't I?" I said while raising one of my eyebrow.

I continued on while smiling, "But, that's the least of our concern now. I'm much more interested in what were you guys doing just now, and also a few months ago?"

Both of them looked at each other, then looked at me blankly.

"Well.................Uhm........................This is Katie....................she's my.......................Uhm...................girlfriend?" R.C said hesitantly.

"Nice to meet you ma'am," said Katie while trying to smile.

"Ah, nice to meet you Katie," I said while shaking her hand.

"Anyways, R.C, you didn't tell me that you already had a girlfriend? How long have you guys been dating? I hope that you guys haven't had sex or.................."

"OMG mom! We just made out! We didn't have sex or anything! Sheesh!!",said R.C while covering his face.

"Gosh ma'am, we're really sorry to have had you worried sick! We didn't dare tell you because we thought that you would be mad.........," Katie said with a sad face.

I didn't know how to react to this actually, he's only what, 14?? And he already has a girlfriend?

"It's alright, we'll sort this out the next time okay?" I said nicely to Katie.

"But you, young man, we're going to talk to your father later."

He looked down and said,"Yes mom............."

Immediately when we stepped into the car, it turned to an interrogation room.

"Okay, spill the beans," I said while looking at R.C

"Oh My Gosh, mom you are so nosy!!"

"Hey, I have a 14 year old son who already has a girlfriend. How'd you think I would react?"

"Ugh, it's not a big deal. All of my friends are also in relationships........"

"So that's what it is? Just because of peer pressure?"

"No mom!"

"Then do you genuinely love her?? Could you promise not to break her heart?"

".........................I..................."

Then he just stayed silent for the whole ride back.
