Our Journey..

5 Years Later..

Matt and his wife stayed together, he called maybe once a month to make sure I was ok but he wasn't allowed when she was around. He decided to give me a monthly salary and free rent until I was on my feet he would hang up the phone. It made me sad because whenever I looked into Hope's eyes, it reminded me of him large sky blue eyes.

After Hope was born, I learned so much about myself that I didn't realise. I was a caring, loving mother to her and the only family she has. I haven't spoken to Hannah or my parents since but Im sure Matt gave them updates well at least my mother.

It made me sad because whenever I looked into Hope's eyes, it reminded me of his large sky blue eyes. 

Life wasn't easy but I did the best I could, not many places would offer me positions as I was inexperienced and honestly I couldn't afford Childcare. Stripping wasn't what I wanted to do in life, but it made me money, I could afford a new place and the tips I was getting I was able to afford baby clothes, bottles and toys. I was able to put Hope into school pay for inform, books and trips.  I was so grateful, they had become my family and took me in. 

It was 8am and I was popping toast into the toaster and flicking the switch of the kettle on. 

"Good Morning how was your sleep" I asked 

"Mommy, its to early for chit chat let me eat first" 

Her flicked back her blonde hair and rubbed her blue eyes, she was Matt's double. I never understood how she got so much of him and none of me. But then again, she had my sass. 

The mornings started off quiet, she was like me not a morning person, it was hard enough trying to get her out of the bed. I dressed myself and then her sparing some time. She sat down on the sofa and watched some cartoons as I began cleaning up. 

There was a knock on the door and it was my friend Katie, she was my living babysitter who stayed here a lot when I worked at night. She was in college and using the money she earns to pay it off. She lived 2 floors up from us and had a alcoholic mother, so she appreciated the place.  Hope jumps off the ground into my arms and kisses my cheek 

"Bye mommy have a good day at work" 

"Bye honey" 

I checked my watch and it was 8:45am and I had the whole day to myself, I threw myself on the sofa wrapped a blanket around me and closed my eyes.  I was working till 5am last night so this is the time I get to catch up on sleep. 

My alarm went off at 3pm and the sun was shining in through the window, Hope was due back in the next 15 mins so I quickly got up got dressed and popped the kettle on, a cup of coffee is exactly what I needed right now.  Katie knocked on the door and then opened it and in she ran

"Hi mommy, look I made a picture for you" She handed  me a picture of 2 people one large and one little. 

"Its beautiful, let me stick it right here" I placed it on the fridge with love heart magnets

"Thanks Katie see you tomorrow" 

She climbed up onto a bar stool and picked up a apple, she was eating and telling me all about her day in school. 

"And then Thomas asked me to his birthday party as his girlfriend can you believe that"

I laughed and gave her a shocked face
