"I called you here to ask for an explanation about the meeting result with your members about the serial killer case!" asked the Head of the police department to Nat.
"Referring to the evidence and witnesses, this serial murder case relates to...wolves...and its relatives..." Nat said hesitantly.
"Oh, so you want to report of wolves roaming the city and plan a serial murder?" The head of the department asked sarcastically. "Excuse me, do we need to cooperate with the forest rangers to capture the animals?"
"I'm talking about werewolf..." Nat add.
"This does not make sense!" Shouted the head of the police department furiously. "I've been assigned as chief for decades, I always put the logic in action!"
Nat breathed heavily. "I agree to logic, but..."
"But what?! Do not say you believe in superstition!" asked the chief.
He then looked at Nat seriously and asked.
"Have you watched a scooby-doo cartoon?"
"It was my favorite cartoon when I was a child..." Nat replied.
"Who's your favorite character and why?"
"Err...Velma...because she always solves cases using logic..."
"Exactly! No matter how weird and unreasonable the cases appear in every episode, there's always a logical explanation at the end of the story that tells the audience that monsters, ghosts, witches, and wolverines are not real! Do you get it?!"
"Then what do you say about the autopsy report that I found?" Nat placed the report folder on the table.
The chief takes the report and reads it for a moment, then throws the report to the floor.
"Have you ever seen the creature with your own eyes?!" he snapped.
"N-never..." Nat said uncertainly.
"Then the base of what do you believe it?! Story?"
"Nothing..." Nat replied.
"So?"
"I will rewrite the report and investigate the case again ..."
"You made the right decision! Remember you are a detective, not a paranormal or a hunter!"
Nat nodded understanding.
"One more thing! I hope you can pick a good word when you explain the case to the media!" he glared at Nat. "Do not cause any panic to the people by telling children to stay out of the street at night because there are monsters on the loose!"
"For temporary, I think it needs to be done until the case is solved in order to avoid more victims!"
"When I told my five-year-old son not to play fire because it was dangerous, he ended up burning up half of my house out of curiosity about what kind of danger I meant..."
"I-I understand..." Nat said nervously. "Excuse me!"
Nat returned to his office took out a photo frame from his drawer and stared at it for some time.
Suddenly Fah knocked on the door and startled him.
"P'Nat, did you stare at your family's photo again?"
"What's up?" Nat asked the girl.
"I want to report...I investigated the family's background of the three 'werewolf' victims..." Fah moves his index and the middle beside her eye gesture of quotation marks.
