FINLEY'S POV

I waited for Saren to get dismissed from class. It was a sunny day, but with a cold breeze. I sat on one of the benches outside of the classrooms, pulling out my phone to check the time.

Only one minute later from the last time you checked, I thought to myself.

Finally I heard the door swing open and out came a large amount of people. I watched patiently waiting for her to walk out. Eventually I saw her petite frame walk out wearing black leggings, a hoodie(which was my old one that I gave her), and her tennis shoes. She looked beautiful even with such a simple outfit.

She walked straight past me and stood in the middle of the courtyard. Her head gazed around to look for something, or someone. I knew she was looking for me. I had called her last night asking if she'd go shopping with me after she got out of her last class.

I chuckled at her while pulling out my phone to text her.

Me: Turn around love

I stood up and again watched her as she grabbed her phone from her back pocket. A second later she turned around and a smile cracked along her lips. She started heading my way, and I realized a smile laid along my lips as well. I held open my arms for her, and as she approached me, she snuggled into my arms. I felt her relax and I swayed her back and forth once before letting her go.

"So, I was thinking we could go to Urban Outfitters. They have a wide variety of men's and women's clothes so you can look around too," I said to her. I debated on asking her now, but resented against it. Although, I'd have to ask her soon.

"Alright, sounds good to me," she replied, smiling up at me. I found her being so much shorter than me, adorable. I loved being able to kiss the top of her head with no troubles, or her always looking up at me. Or when we hugged, she was able to rest her head on my chest so easily. I wondered if she's ever heard the pounding heart beat of mine whenever she's that close. Then again, she probably wouldn't say anything.

We had been walking towards my car and just arrived. We got in and I started up the car. I looked over to Saren, as she looked out the window. A minute later, I saw her reach over to turn the radio on with the corner of my eye. I noticed a small smile flicker across her lips as Lights Down Low came on.

I loved this song. Every time I heard it, I always imagined Saren as the lyrics boomed into my ears.

I didn't even realize I had started singing along until I looked over and saw her smiling back at me with awe in her eyes.

"Ever thought of becoming a singer?" she asked, taking me by surprise.

In made me chuckle. Really? A singer? Is she serious? "Saren, only good people get into the music industry."

She starred back at me. Her eyes bulged just a tad, and her mouth dropped a little.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" I asked. I was confused with her reaction, but quite amused with her as well.

"You're voice is beautiful, that's all," she said simply. My heart fluttered a little. I've heard those words many times from my family and high school friends, but hearing them form in her sweet voice, made me feel giddy.

I didn't say anything however, I just nodded my head in response.

______________

"How about this shirt?" I asked, holding up a salmon colored shirt so she could see.

"Suits your tan skin," she answered.
