FINLEY'S POV

"Oh, Finley," she replied to me. I felt my cheeks warm up and I ran my hands through my hair absentmindedly. I started fiddling with my thumbs in my lap, my eyes starring at them circle around themselves. "We always knew you were holding something back from us, your father and I. I remember the day you met her and you came over for dinner. You couldn't stop talking about how beautiful she was. Claiming she had the prettiest smile you'd ever seen. Finley, I'm proud of you. You got the girl, now never let her go."

"Mom, it's a miracle I got the girl of my dreams. If I screw this up, or let her go, go ahead and put me in a mental hospital, because I'd be crazy if I ever thought about doing that," I answered truthfully.

"Tell me, what does she look like?"

"Oh! She's the most beautiful girl ever. She has long brown, wavy hair that match the color of her eyes. She's tiny," I chuckled. "She's almost a full foot shorter than me. And she's very petite, but it's adorable. She has small little random freckles on her arms, and her eyelashes are so long. I love when she wears the hoodie I gave her, it didn't fit me anymore. Yet, it's still ginormous on her. She has really pale skin, but it makes her freckles stand out more. Her accent, oh my gosh her accent. I could listen to her talk for days mom. The way her lips form each syllable. In fact, yesterday she said 'mum'. It was the cutest thing. Mom, she's just so beautiful and sweet. She's amazing at her job. She's driven. She's great with kids," I blushed thinking maybe in the future we could have our own. "She's got such a kind soul. I've never heard her say anything bad about anyone, but herself, which upsets me. She doesn't see how perfect she is to me. The way her eyes crinkle when she smiles, and she hates her voice. How? I'm not sure. But mom, all the little things that make her up, are wonderful. I love each and every single one of them. I love her. All her little things are perfect to me, and I'm beyond grateful to have her as mine once and for all," I finished my little speech. Dang, I was whipped.

"Finley, I met you show me a picture or something, but that. Wow, Fin. She must be one precious girl. Finley, the way you talk about her, the way your eyes light up when you talk about her. I can tell your madly in love. I think you love her more than your father and I love each other, and that's saying a lot. But I'd love to meet Saren. Do you think it's possible I could meet her sometime soon?" my heart fluttered at her words. I mean, I knew I was in love. But did I make it that obvious?

"Yeah, I'm sure you can meet her soon. Maybe I could make dinner tonight possibly and see if she'd be up for it. No promises, though. She gets nervous about meeting new people," remembering her being flustered when we first met.

"That would be lovely. Could you possibly call now? I'd like to know ahead of time so I can bring a side dish."

I looked at my watch realizing it was a little after noon, meaning she'd be on her break. I pulled out my phone noticing I had one unread message from her.

My Love: Olivia came back to show me Loki's new collar, she's so cute !

I giggled at her, earning a strange look from my mom. I shook it off as I pressed the call button. On the third ring she picked up.

"Hi," she sang into the phone.

"Hey love," I said my smile growing.

"How was brunch with your mum?"

"Good. I'm still with her, actually. We were wondering if you'd like to have dinner at my place tonight so you can meet her?" I asked her.

"Um. Y-yeah. That should be fun," I could hear her shaky breath through the line.

"Hey, it'll be fine," I cooed. "I can pick you up from work, take you home so you can change, and then bring you over so we can hang a little before she comes over. Really casual nothing to worry about, love."
