Casually searching through the internet for an x reader book for a certain character finally finds one and reads the description which says you the reader. Stuff like that but when you actually start to read it. It says somebody else's name instead of [Y/N] or reader's POV. Gets a little pissed off at that.
Example:
Terra's POV
Sarah's POV
Nico's POV
Alex's POVLike seriously what the fuck. X reader means the character's name, age, hair, eye color and other stuff shouldn't be determined right away. Yes readers insert their ocs but that doesn't mean the names should be determined. The age is an easy pass because it helps the story like a 19 year old girl/boy named (Y/n). The hair color and eye color is ok to determine sometimes but not always. Not a lot of people read ocs x Canon because they want to be shipped or in an one shot with that character. Technically you aren't writing an x reader one shot if the name and everything is determined for you it's more of an oc x reader one shot. X reader one shot books it should only be titled that if it only contains x reader books. If it's filled with only ships from the fandom then says only ship one shots. Stuff like that helps.
