Hey guys! It's me again! This is a new fanfic I have thought about writing for a long time, I just needed the right characters and the right plot. This story is greatly inspired by the Korean School series, especially "School 2017" A reminder that what the characters do or say is not always gonna be a representative of my views or opinions! And also some of the characters are the antagonists but that does not mean I actually dislike them. For example: Naeyeon and Kai (I love them but they are good villains in this story) I will be uploading 3-4 chapters today but I have a lot more in store! Please forgive me for any spelling mistakes! And please enjoy/comment/vote! Have fun reading! The song for this chapter is Dumb Dumb by Red Velvet.
It was the hottest Summer of the century. Or at least that's what I thought. Kids came back to school looking like burnt chicken nuggets. Lucky for me I had an impressive tan. I also had a pretty decent glow up since grade ten. My face wasn't as round and I had a little bit of muscle.
This Summer taught me so many lessons. But now it was time to go back to school. Ugh.
As soon as I walk into the front doors Seulgi, my best friend runs up and jumps on me, rapping her arms and legs around me. Gosh I love her so much. She's been my best friend since kindergarten.
"Aish, Daehyun I missed you so much!" she gets off of me.
"Seulgi, I saw you last week," I roll my eyes. We both start laughing. We were a little upset that Summer was over but we were happy that we get to see all of our school friends again.
"Attention everyone, there is an assembly before first hour, please head to the gymnasium, find your column and stand in alphabetical order," the attendance lady says. I look at Seulgi with my eyebrow raised. She just shrugs.
"Must be another fundraiser for our school, now that we're nearly broke," she's right, our school is on the verge of crumbling. We can thank last years principal for that. Hopefully there's a good change this year.
We arrive at the assembly and meet up with Jennie. She was also our best friend. If there was anyone I wish I could look like, it'd be her. She was confident and one of the prettiest girls in our school along with Seulgi. I was lucky to have both of them as friends. Jennie and I were next to each other because of our last names.
I started to zone out during a speech a random guy was giving. I just couldn't stop thinking about Jaehyun. He was a grade above me and would soon leave school to go to college. I needed to get into college but I didn't have the brains. "Maybe I should just try out for every club, or cheat on my exams," I say to myself.
"No wait, maybe I should get a boyfriend first, and make him help me with homework and tests! That's a great idea!" I say.
Jennie tapped me on the arm I looked over at her and realized she was listening to me talking to myself. I feel awkward at first but the feeling goes away since she's my best friend too.
"So, Jennie, who do you think I would make a good couple with!?" I ask her excitedly. She looks a bit nervous but I don't realize it at first.
"Daehyun, shut up.." she whispers. But I don't seem to hear it.
"You're right! I would look cute with Jaehyun," I squeal. I start jumping up and down. Then I see Jennie motioning for me to zip my lips. All of a sudden I look around and all eyes are on me. Including Jaehyun's. Shit.
"And the first thing I'll do to make this school a better place is punish that noisy student for making an unnecessary scene, we need less of these types of students," he pointed at me. Who even is he?
The alarm on my phone goes off and I completely forgot about my dentist appointment. Everyone turns to look at me yet again. "Sir, I have to go! But please punish me when I get back! Not now!" I say loud enough so the guy hears me. A fit of laughter runs through the gym.
As I'm running out, I run into someone. He almost knocks me down. And I'm dizzy at the thought of falling, considering how clumsy I really am.
"Watch it, idiot," a raven haired guy who was taller then me looked straight down at me. His eyes were angelic, and his lips were shaped perfectly. His voice was sweet and sour because of his rude tone. Before I got lost in his eyes I snapped out of it.
"I'm sorry who are you?" I ask in the same rude tone he used with me.
"Taeyong, watch where you're going next time. Dumbass," my mouth drops wide open. He must be new or something. He really just said that to Park Daehyun. He must not know who I am.
I had a feeling about this guy. I could already see myself getting into endless fights with him.
"Hm, Taeyong.. I already don't like him." I say to myself before running out of school.
A new beginning ;)
