Too Late

Taeyong's POV

So he really did only want me for a good time. I can't believe I almost let myself fall for him.

Daehyun fooled me but I'm not about to let that show. He's gonna regret using me.

Fuck Daehyun.

Daehyun's POV

"So was he good at it?" Jennie asked, not taking her eyes off of the road.

"Yessss for the millionth time! Yes he made me forget about everything, but you're still not getting the point Jennie! I did him wrong.." I look down, ashamed of how poorly I treated him.

"Yea you did, but Daehyun just chill, all you have to do is get him back,"

"How is that gonna work?" I raise an eyebrow.

"I'm taking you out to buy new clothes, dye your hair and get you glowing skin products!" She squeaks.

"Jennie! That costs so much money! How will I be able to pay you back?" I ask.

"It's a gift for our close friendship, plus your birthday is coming up this Summer so you don't have to repay me,"

Before I begin to protest Jennie shoves a donut in my mouth, "Hear, eat this."

Jennie and I get to the mall and pick out my clothes and beauty products first. She takes me to do my eyebrows.

"Ow,"

"It'll only hurt a bit Dae, just relax,"

"Jennie why aren't you at school? It's Thursday," she stop to think for a second.

"Because I'm a bad ass," she smiles, showing her gums. I just roll my eyes and laugh.

"But to be honest, my parents just let me take the day off with you after they heard about everything that happened to you," she says.

After that we go and take a look at what color I wanna dye my hair.

"How about some vibrant brown highlights!?" She suggests.

"Yea! Let's do it," I say.

After we're done I look and the mirror and check myself out. My hair has never looked better, all I need to do is style it and it'll be perfect.

Jennie and I go to a close restaurant to eat some tacos.

"So Daehyun, how do you truly feel about Taeyong?" The question catches me by surprise but I know that answer.

"Well at first I didn't like him but something about him interested me at the beginning. And ever since the suspension he treated me good and acted like a gentleman.. he cared for me when I felt all alone and I guess I had been building up feelings for him ever since I followed him after school, Jennie I really like that boy, he's cute and funny and a brat but he's... ugh, I really did mess up didn't I?"

"Don't worry Dae, we'll get him back. Just don't forget to do all the beauty procedures over the weekend to look good on Monday." We leave and I head home.

That whole weekend I follow all of Jennie's rules.

On Monday morning Seulgi comes to pick me up to go to school.

"Hey Seul," I say as I get in her car.

"Wow Daehyun, you look... a-amazing! Jennie told me but I didn't think you'd look this good!" I blushed at my best friend's comment.

"Well let's get to school, I have an apology to give,"

"Oh yea! Jennie told me all about you and Taeyong, why didn't you tell me!?"

"Sorry Seulgi, I was going to but I felt kind of embarrassed and I felt like you wouldn't see me in the same way anymore.." I get shy.

"Daehyun, you can always tell me anything, you know that I'll never judge you.. But I think there's something you should know..." we get to school and I open the door before she can finish.

"Tell me later Seulgi, I have to find Taeyong!"

"But-" I shut the door before she finishes.

I walk through the front doors and all eyes are on me.

"Is that Daehyun.." people whisper all around me.

I go through many hallways to find Taeyong and I finally find him. He comes out of our homeroom looking extremely good. He dyed his hair red. It makes him look even more attractive.

Taeyong spots me and his expression is blank. He looks shocked but in a good way, hopefully.

As I walk towards him, someone else goes right in front of him. A girl with long beautiful hair. It was Nancy, one of the most popular girls at our school.

Her hand went to his neck and lowered it just enough for their lips to meet. I stop instantly and feel awful. Taeyong keeps his eyes open to see my reaction.

"Daehyun, Taeyong already has a girl-" Seulgi rushes to my aid but it's already too late.

"Thanks Seulgi, but I kind of connected the dots already, let's get out of here," I glare at him and Nancy before I leave.
