"Allison?!" I hear someone whisper my name. And me being lazy decided to ignore it and try to go back to sleep. My plan on staying in bed failed as soon as I felt a soft cushioning feeling hit the side of my body.
"What?!" I sit up and look across from my bed only to find my best friend Stacey giving me a big innocent smile.
"Nothing, I just wanted to see if you were awake." She bluntly said as she got up from her bed. And there you have it, Stacey O'Neal, your not-so-average teenager. Aside from the fact that we're both orphans of course. But I never let that thought bum me down.
I watched as Stacey skipped to the bathroom door and picked up the hair brush to brush her long dark brown hair, she always had to make an effort brushing her hair more than anything in the world, it was always a birds nest, unlike mine where I could effortlessly comb my fingers through it and it would be tangle free.
I hear Stacey grunt and I get up from my sitting position and make my way over to the bathroom.
"Why don't you just buy yourself a di tangling spray?" I stare at her through the mirror as she struggles to get the brush through.
"Because I'm saving up all of my not well paid pay-checks to get ourselves out of this hell hole." she said through gritted teeth. I chuckle to the name for this place, St. Joseph's orphanage, the most rude, disgusting orphanage you would ever find on this planet. Ever since my tenth birthday Stacey and I promised we would both get out of here before my seventeenth birthday. I'm currently sixteen and my birthday is two weeks away exactly.
"How are we going to do that? My birthday is two weeks away and all of these New York apartments are a lot over our budget!" I gave her a small forced smile seeing that our promise to get out of here won't be accomplished.
With the little bit of money we both get paid at Randy's Dinner down the street of our busy New York street we would barely be able to afford a bathroom, let alone an apartment.
"Hmm..." Was her only response. I turned on my heel and went to my small closet in the corner and picked out some of the few clothing items that I have.
"Speaking of your birthday, I got you a little gift." I spin around to find Stacey holding a small white bag with the words 'Happy Birthday' written on it.
"Stacey! You didn't have too!" I rush over to her which really only took two steps considering we have a small room to share.
"Oh but my dear dear Allison, I wanted too!" She hands me the bag and I slowly take it, suspecting that it would just be a prank and something will explode in my face.
I slowly open the bag and see what's inside just to find a small baby blue box. I take the box out and open it to reveal a silver necklace with a small heart shaped locket. I open It to reveal a small picture of the two of us and the words 'sisters for life' written on the opposite side of it.
"Stacey, thank you so much it's beautiful!" I clutch the locket in my hand and give her a big hug. I spin around and lift my hair up and give her the locket, immediately knowing what to do with it. When she was done I left go of my hair and look down on it and smile.
"Stacey! Allison! Get your asses down here now!" We both look towards the door and then I see Stacey rolling her eyes out of the corner of my eye.
"Coming your majesty." Stacey annoyingly whispered as she went towards the door with me closely following. We walk down the stairs and into the dinning room were we hear plates and silverware being set down for breakfast.
"What took you so long?" We hear Ms. Wright say as we walked towards the kitchen to get our food.
Ms. Wright, the owner of this orphanage, who has a welcoming smile every time we get visitors and always feeds them lies about this place and as soon as they leave she will be the leader of the spawn of satan. I was never fond with anything that she said weather I knew it was the truth or a lie.
I watched as she walked her short plump body to the counter where the plates were served for the young ones.
Cody Martin, who was currently fourteen and saying he's a man when he cried watching The Fault In Our Stars. Lucy Mathews, currently four years of age and is the most adorable little girl I've ever seen. And last but not least Joey Hankins, who is currently twelve but acts like a fifteen year old.
"Cody! Joey! Lucy! Breakfast is ready!" Ms. Wright yells. As if that's going to wake up the boys.
"I don't think that will wake them up." Stacey said as if she read my mind.

The rest of the morning was a blur. After breakfast I brushed my teeth, took a shower, went to work my shift with Stacey at Randy's and now it's half past seven and I'm currently laying on my bed staring at my ceiling.
"Well I gotta go back to Randy's, I asked for an extra shift tonight and won't be back home until midnight." Stacey said as she walked out of the bathroom with her uniform still on. For a diner, I actually liked our uniforms. it was a white button up shirt with a black tie and some black shorts considering it was the middle if summer. I was simple but nice.
"Alright, I'm gonna take a nap that will probably end up with it being me sleeping until tomorrow." I looked up to her and watched as she fumbled with the button on her shorts.
The rest of the night consisted of me trying to fall asleep but failing miserably so I just decided to go on my phone. I'm not like many teenagers where they live on their phone, but I do have all of the apps they usually have.
I go to YouTube and decide to entertain myself by watching some videos. I click the 'recommended' button and scroll through only to find a video that caught my eye.
5sos funny moments
I clicked on it and waited for it to load only to find myself dropping my phone on my bead by a loud, rather amusing, laugh. I couldn't help but giggle. So I sat there for almost an hour watching more and more of these videos only to actually know how I'm watching as I click one of their music videos under the name of 'She Looks So Perfect'. My memory's start to come back to one day at Randy's they played this song and I actually liked it. I watched a couple more videos only to get even more curious about them.
I yawn not realizing what the time was it was now one in the morning. time flies by when you're watching four teenage boys being idiots in a funny way. it then clicked in my head that Stacey was supposed to be home am hour ago, so I take it upon myself to call her.
The phone rings three times before she answers.
'Hello?'
'Hey! I was just wondering if you were ok.'
'Yeah! don't worry about me. I just took an extra shift so I won't be home until later tonight. get some sleep you sound tierd.'
I decided to just take her advice and get some rest.
'Ok, I'll see you tomorrow then, goodnight'
'Goodnight'
And with that it swiftly fell asleep with the voices of 5SOS in my head.
