Powers Beneath The Skin (Book 1 of Many) *COMPLETED*

Through the tunnels of the dark

I was pretty sure we were walking in the air vent for over an hour now. It was full of dust, and rats and it was pitch black. And the worst part was I was at the back so all I could see Rosie's back side. She laughed when I said
"Here I am starring at your backside and you are laughing when are we going to get out of this!"
Suddenly we saw daylight and we crawled faster and faster then. Bump! I bumped into Rosie's backside she laughed her head off. Oh how embarrassing but that wasn't the point now we were near the exit!

"Hurry Viola we're almost there!" Said Rosie as she rushed ahead.
I tried to keep up with her but as soon as I trod on one particular vent it started to shift and break I screamed as
Smash the vent broke underneath me. I was screaming as I was holding onto the side of the vent. I looked down underneath me there was a dentist chair that was at tattoo another I.V line and the I.V line attached to multiple tubes and tools on the left almost all of them were sharp. I was starting to loose my grip.
"Viola!" Screamed Rosie as she tried to reach me
"I can't hold on!" I screamed
"Reach for my hand!"
"I Can't Rosie you are too-."
My hands suddenly slipped and I fell straight onto the floor twisting my ankle. I winced as I tried to move my leg, suddenly a rush of doctors and nurses came into the room murmuring and trying to get me. I tried to focus my power to make them go away from me with the manipulation of others actions power I had when hay failed I tried to reach into theirs souls but there was a massive quantity of them there was too many for me to fight.

"Viola! Grab my hand!" Said Rosie as she reached down as far as she could, I was about to reach her hand when someone or something stabbed something into my leg when I looked down I saw it was 5 inch needle deep into my skin making a purple substance deep into my blood stream making my body feel all giddy like I was drunk which I had never been I started to laugh hysterically while laughing let go on the side but Rosie caught my hand but was forced to let go when someone pulled me down. It was Daniel! "Hello there my friend don't worry our organisation will take very good care of you don't you worry there." Said Daniel manipulatively I started to laugh for no reason I got out of his arms and giddily stood up. I was able to cackle out with
"R-Rosie g-go a-and g-get h-Halle I-in t-the Z-zenzala F-forest p-please."

Then after I said that My head started to spin and then I started to move sideways then my eyes rolled back into my head and I collapsed into Daniel's arms. Rosie took one look at me then went to get Halle. Tears welled in her eyes as she felt like she lost another friend..... She didn't feel this way for a long time.

Rosies backstory:
I was walking home from school then One day a guy ,who I knew back in my old town as the town freak, who had powers came up to me on my way home I stopped at the shops to by a can of cola and some sour skittles. When I finished paying for my drink and sweets I put them in my backpack and walked out of the shop. I was walking down the alleyway to get home quickly because it was getting dark. Fast! I had to stop to catch my breath and in noticed him at the end of the alleyway.
He started to walk closer and faster to me and I tried to run away but I was no where near fast enough so he caught up to me and grabbed my backpack pulling me backwards dragging me on the floor scraping my arms and legs screaming my lungs out for him to let go.

He grabbed my backpack straps and pinned me up against the wall. Struggling. I was defenseless until I managed to grab his hand. I felt a sudden tingling sensation in my veins it was like a power boost going into my veins. He started to punch and kick me so I managed to pull my arm free and then I punched the guy with the same amount of power he was doing it to me.

He dropped me straight onto the ground he was heaving so I picked up my fear and started to run. Run all the way home keeping my new ability a secret.

After that I would carry on helping people by mimicking the attackers powers and using that against them.
That's how I found out I had the power to mimic others powers.

It as one year later after I had found my powers all was well until I was in my school and some men abut 6ft asked me to step outside. Being polite I went outside with them but as soon as I did they put a potato bag on my head and mocked something in my head to make me black out.

I later found out I was reported by the guy and the LAB as they called it decided to do experiments on me to find out about my powers. It was later that week after all of the experiments that I met Mikelle, she was a bit shy at first but we started talking through the glass wall that separated us and we started to build up a friendship. Mikelle told me she had the powers over life and death. I was amazed at this. Mikelle was my only friend because I had no one else that I cared about because I was stuck in head and my parents thought I was dead.
One day Mikelle was called in by the scientist that took her into this room and before she went I gave her a hug and said "we will get out of this!"
I sneaked into the room because there was a hole in the wall and when I got there I saw they were taking her powers away as-well then I heard her scream and say Rosie tin tears filled my eyes as I saw them hold a dagger to her heart and then... I closed my eyes because I couldn't witness the next part. I started to cry but then I thought I have to get tour of here do what Mikelle said I have to get out.

Then I escaped I ran through all of the door pushing anyone and everyone that got in my way to the ground. I didn't stop running until I was outside the lab. I quickly hid behind a few dumpsters and cried. I couldn't stop it. My only friend... dead!

It was nighttime when the experimental people found me hiding behind dumpsters and they dragged me back even through the screaming and kicking. They placed me in my cell and locked the door. I whimpered in the corner stoking against the wall. Wondering if I will suffer the same fate as Mikelle. I have been there ever since never allowed to leave otherwise I could tell people but the good thing is they can't kill me because a little bit of my power is stuck in me. So that keeps me alive at least but I will never forget what they did to Mikelle...
