"I don't know why you're dragging me out here," Saruhiko Fushimi grumped as I pulled him along with me. "Because you need to enjoy this, Saruhiko!" I told him. He pulled away from me and glared at me in discontent. Saruhiko was a slim, lanky, young man with messy black hair and blue eyes, which were framed by black rectangle glasses. He currently had his Scepter 4 uniform on, consisting of a white shirt, a gray waistcoat and a long blue coat with sleeves rolled up below the elbow, showing the purplish red wristbands. His uniform also had dark blue trousers and knee-high black boots. Saruhiko carried his saber on his left hip. I pouted at him.

"Tch..." He gave in and followed me. I grabbed his hand and led him into the forest.

We passed huge, lush trees and beautiful wildflowers. The sun was out, but the tree canopy kept the heat from reaching us. "I'm sorry I pulled you away right after you got home from work, but I just couldn't wait to show you!" I chattered excitedly. Saruhiko didn't reply or showed any sign of listening to what I was saying. I continued talking, basically to myself. We eventually reached a clearing that was blocked off with bushes.

"Through here?" Saruhiko asked. I nodded, "Mhm!"

Saruhiko parted the bushes and let me through first. He followed after me. Saruhiko's hand dropped to his side and he stared at the scene before him. His grimace never left his face, but I could tell from his eyes that he was amazed. Before us was a gorgeous garden that I had nourished in private. Purple, blue, and red wildflowers were placed delicately in a circle around a white-washed bench. Above the bench stood an arch with ivy entangled within the holes and figures of it. The sweet aroma of the flowers filled the air, butterflies and other wonderful bugs flitted around the flowers. "Come on," I urged him. Saruhiko took my hand in his. I grinned up at him and led him to the bench. We sat down together, our hands entwined with each other.

"Saru, I know you've been hard at work. I just wanted you to take some time to enjoy the beauty around us." Saruhiko rolled his eyes. "I don't see why I have to, I'm fine without it, woman."

"Yeah maybe, just maybe the nature part but not me," I said. His eyebrows rose. Saruhiko relaxed against the bench.

"Besides, I don't see why you go to such extreme measures to please me. You're the complete opposite of me," he continued. I laid my head on his shoulder and gazed at our hands. "See, you do enjoy this," I teased slightly. Glancing up, I noticed the slight smile he was wearing. My heart leaped at the sight and I quickly glanced back down.

"Emiko."

"Huh?" I replied as I lifted my head. Saruhiko cupped my face with his hands. He gazed sweetly at me. "Thank you for caring. I know I don't show it, but I love you," he said as he dipped down. He placed his lips gently on mine. I kissed him back. He deepened it. My hands ran through his hair, tugging at strands that got caught in between my fingers. Saruhiko's grip tightened and he shifted himself closer to me. I lifted myself just enough to sit in his lap, Saruhiko moved his hands from my face to my waist as he slipped his tongue into my mouth. We battled each other for dominance, him winning it eventually. I moaned as he slid his tongue over mine. We broke apart only to gasp for air. We gazed ardently into each other's eyes as we breathed. His clear blue eyes were alive with passion. I wanted nothing more than to stay like this, with him. In his arms, not another care within the world.

"Now when's the last time you kissed me like that?" I teased. Saruhiko cracked one of his rare smiles. "No idea," he said as he leaned back on the bench. He removed one of his hands from my waist to take off his glasses. He folded them together and laid them off to the side of us. I played with his hair, causing him to close his eyes. We stayed like that for awhile. Saruhiko had dozed off, and I was close behind. Laying his glasses on the grass, I shifted myself more comfortably in his lap and lay my head on his chest. The constant, rhythmic pulse of his heartbeat lulled me to sleep.

I woke up because I was being moved around. Opening my eyes slowly, I met Saruhiko's blue eyes. He was carrying me while walking through the forest. It was darker than it was when I was last awake. It seemed that the sun had gone down. A breeze blew past and I shivered. "Saru?"

Saruhiko set me down and took off his waistcoat. "Here," he grumbled. I smiled in appreciation and put the coat around my shoulders. He waited for me to situate myself before walking again. I caught up to him and we joined hands. "I didn't realize it was so late. We must have slept past dinner," I mused. Saruhiko ignored me while giving me the cold shoulder as he continued to trample through the forest. He tugged me along until we reached the edge of the forest, where our car was waiting. What's up with him?

"You have the keys, don't you?"

"Yeah," I mumbled as I dug them out from my pocket. Saruhiko grabbed them from me and jammed them into the keyhole. He unlocked the car and got into the driver's seat. He glanced up at me, "Well? Are you coming?" I nodded and got into the car.

We rode in silence for what seemed like an eternity. The mood was thick with tension and I didn't know how to lighten it. Saruhiko was in a foul mood, he would grumble if a light came up or a bad driver. He didn't even turn on the radio to listen to music. Something must've happened while I was sleeping.

Saruhiko turned into my driveway and turned the car off. We got out. I followed him to the front door. He unlocked it and swung the door opened. He beckoned me to go in, I obediently did so. Saruhiko's anger seemed to be rising with every passing moment. I flicked the light on and watched him throw the keys onto a nearby coffee table.

"What's wrong?"

Saruhiko gave me a cold glare and stomped off to the kitchen. I followed after him, continuing to pest him along the way. He kept giving me the cold shoulder and death glares, never opening his mouth to speak. Even if you yell at me, it would be better than this.

"Did work call in?"

I guess that was the last straw because Saruhiko swung around to face me. I flinched back, not expecting the sudden movement from him. His nostrils were flaring and I could see his blue aura starting to flake off of him. To be honest, the sight scared me a little. I didn't know if he was angry at me and the uncertainty made my heart race with anxiety. He's never been this furious around me without explaining it to me. I've never been an object of abuse but I felt it hit me. Saruhiko noticed my fear. He clenched his fists and shut his eyes. When he opened them again, they were calmer, but his aura didn't go down all the way.

"It's nothing," Saruhiko tried to say through clenched teeth. My jaw tightened. That phrase was my last straw. Little bubbles of fury boiled in the bottom of my stomach. I let out some air and stood up to him.

"It's obviously not!" I yelled at him. Saruhiko was shocked that I raised my voice at him.

"You've been a jerk to me ever since I woke up and you're gonna tell me how it's 'nothing'? Something obviously happened and you're not being forthright. This past month, you've been sulkier than usual and now you're taking it out on me. I'm not gonna have that! If this is how you're gonna treat me, get out!" I screamed at him. Saruhiko had shrunk in size. His head was bowed and he didn't dare look at me. Seeing him like that made my heart break. What had I done? I regretted the moment I had opened my mouth. When Saruhiko lifted his head, his eyes widened. He stepped towards me, with his hand out. I stepped back, but that didn't stop him. He cupped my face and wiped the tears that were streaming down my cheeks. I sniffed.

"All I can say is sorry. I've been taking you for granted," he mumbled.

"Well stop," I sobbed. This fight was my first ever with Saruhiko and I couldn't stop crying. Saruhiko laid his forehead on mine and embraced me.

"I'm stupid. I caused all this pain just because I wanted to see you more. Now look what I've done," he whispered. A drop landed on my cheek and I glanced up at Saruhiko. Like me, tears streamed from his closed eyes. Sniffing, I wiped his tears away and forced him to look at me. He opened his eyes and I smiled. "It's fine. I forgive you, and I hope you can forgive me for yelling at you, Saru."

"I know I said I was the stupid one, but you must be an idiot for staying with me," Saruhiko grimaced. I slapped his arm playfully and he grinned. He bent down and placed a feather-light kiss on my lips. "No more fighting?"

"No more fighting."
