Chapter 5, the date

Louis' P.O.V.

When I saw Payton coming down the stairs all I could think of was how beautiful she looked. She looked like a girl off the cover of Victoria's Magazine. When she saw me she smiled and her teeth glowed. I smiled back and walked up to her. "Hello Payton." I said. "Hello Louis." She replied. "Ready to go?" I asked her. "As ready as I'll ever be." She replied. I smiled and led the way out the door to my BMW.

When she came out and saw my car I heard her ghasp. I turned around and she had a huge smile on her face. I smiled back at her and opened her car door. She happily ran over to where I was standing and got in the car. When she was in I circled my way around to my side and got in. I turned the key in the ignition, the engine fired up, and we were off. "Now, I just have to tell you, this may not be what you were expecting." I piped up.

"How so?" She asked me. "Well, because were having five dates at the same time. The lads are going to be here with their dates as well and Niall and Zayne are going to propose to their girlfriends of eight months. Hopefully they say yes. It'll give you something to help them with." I explained. "Aww! Yeah that's perfect!" I heard her say. I smiled and she smiled back at me. "Well good." I said. She nodded her head.

"Oh, by the way, I have something for you too." I told her. "Okay." She said. I pulled out a rose and gave it to her. "As a token of my appreciation for you saying yes to this date." I explained. "Aw, thank you! Wait, you said five dates at the same time, so thats why Danielle left at the same time we did!! To meet up with her boy. It makes sense now!" She declared. "Yep!" I said, laughing a little at the same time. We drove for about five more minutes before we came into view of the restaurant Nando's.

When we parked the car, we saw all the others waiting for us by the main entrance. We didn't want to keep them waiting so we went up to them, greeted them, and went in. The waitress seated us outside by the water. It was a really beautiful scene. A little while after Payton and I were seated next to each other, she poked me on the shoulder to get my attention, and started a conversation. "So, these are the lads?" She asked me.

"Oh yes! Hey, everybody, this is my new friend Payton! I'm sure everybody will like her. She has a great sense of humor!" I yelled. Everyone at the table smiled and started to greet Payton. Once everybody was back to talking to their dates I turned to Payton. "So, what do you think?" I asked. "This is fun!" She said. "Are you sure?" I asked. "Yeah! Positive!" She confirmed. I nodded my head and said, "okay!"

She looked at me, smiled, and looked back at Eleanor. She is a girl that she met going shopping the other day. So she told me. She started talking to her and laughing. "Snap out of it, man!" I heard Zayne yell. I looked over at him and he was smiling. "I know she is a friend. But if that's all she is then you don't have to keep staring at her!" He said. I felt my cheeks heat up when he said that. Thankfully Payton didn't hear that.

I smiled at him and be smiled back. Then he turned back around to face his girlfriend. I looked at my food and decided I wasn't hungry anymore. I looked over at Payton and she had the same look on her face. "Wanna go?" I asked her. She nodded and I took that as a cue to get her out of there. I led the way back to the car and she followed, saying goodbye to everybody before leaving. When I got to her door I opened it for her and she got in.

Then I circled around and got in my side. "So, where to now?" She asked me. "Well, if you want I can take you home since it was just a first "date"" I put my hands up and quoted the word date. She laughed and said that was fine, that she was tired anyways. So I drove her to my house but before she left, she took my hand, and opened it. She put a slip of paper in it and then closed it back up. And then she walked away.

I opened my hand and took a looked at what the slip of paper said. It was written in very nice hand writing and it said, 'Had fun tonight. Hope to do it again sometime. Text me.' I laughed and put it in the center console of the car. I will definitely be texting her later. After watching her go inside with no problems I sped off and went to my own flat. When I got there Zayne was already there with his girlfriend in the kitchen. "Hey, where a your girlfriend?" He asked me.

"Were just friends Zayne." I corrected him. "And that was our first "date."" I made quotations with my hands. He chuckled and said, "Alright man." And then he was contently cooking again. He is my second favorite one out of the lads. I have to say Niall's my first favorite. Only because he shares his carrots when he has some. Because he knows about my love for them. Zayne is second favorite because he buys me whatever I ask him to. Food wise. Or clothed wise, depending on what it is.

As I was passing by them, my phone vibrated in my pocket. I took it out and the caller ID said it was Payton. I smiled and opened it up. It read, 'Hey! :)' I love her texts. She is always so happy. I texted her back a hey and I didn't get another one back for about five minutes. I decided that I would leave her alone for a little while and I went to my room. The minute my head hit the pillow I was out like a light.
