☆Chapter 4☆

 ~The Next Day~

Marinette gets up way earlier than her alarm and starts sewing her crush's blanket. When she finally finished it, she wrapped it in green, like Adrien's eyes, wrapping paper. Tikki wakes up and is surprised that Mari is awake early.

"Hey, Marinette!" Tikki said cheerfully, "you're up early" Marinette looks at her and goes, completely ignoring her.

"Mari? Are you okay..?"

"Leave me alone!" Mari yelled, grabbed her school bag, her gift, and ran out without Tikki. This was the first time she ever left the house without her kwami. When Marinette gets to class, no one else was there, so she sat in her seat and opens her drawing book and starts to draw fashion designs.

The teacher comes in and comes to Mari and asked, "How are you, Marinette?" Mari looks up to the teacher, expressionless

"I'm fine"

"Oh, well then" the teacher chuckles a little, "I'll let you get back to it" When 7:40 AM struck, Nino comes in with Alya.

"Nino? Is it okay if I sit next to you for now?" Nino perked up.

"Sure"

"Thanks" Ayla hugs Nino and sits next to him. When Adrien comes in, he came over to Nino and whispered to him,

"Why is Ayla in my seat?"

"To be honest, I have no idea, just sit by Marinette"

"Okay.." Adrien sits by Marinette. When Marinette looks at who was sitting next to her, she blushed. She pulls out her gift and taps her crush's shoulder.

"Uhhmm...Adrien~" Mari spoke nervously, "t-this is for you, I-I really like you~!" Mari blushed and handed him her gift.

"Ye-oh my..." Adrien was surprised, he couldn't accept it, he just couldn't.

"I'm sorry Marinette, I like someone else," Adrien gives back the blanket. " I hope you understand." Mari's chest felt with pain, she put her head down and sobbed, quietly to herself.

When class was over, she raced home and locked herself in her room. She cried even more and she thought of what he said,

"I like someone else" 

She couldn't bring herself to eat or do her homework. She wanted to die.

"I hate myself, so much" Tikki comes out and hugs Mari as tight as she could.

"What do you want, Tikki?"

"I'm sorry"

"Huh?" Mari gets up and sat on her bed, "If anyone is sorry, it should be me." She hugs Tikki really tight

"You hurt my feelings, to be honest, Marinette"

"I know, Tikki, I'm really sorry, really"

"Are you okay?"

"No"

"What happened?" Tikki said with a worried face.

"Adrien rejected me"

"Oh my..." Mari breaks out in tears and grabs a nearby blade from her desk.

"Mari!!" Tikki screamed, "it's not worth it!!"

"Tikki, I have to, its the only way, I'm sorry" Marinette starts to cut her arm, with blood dripping on her pants, she didn't care the slightest and knowing that her life was going to change.

Her phone starts to ring, she looks to see it's her best friend Ayla. She wrapped the blade in a napkin, hid it, pulled down her sleeves, and answered her phone.

"Hey...you okay?" Ayla said worriedly. Marinette didn't want her to know that she started to cut. She smiled and said,

"I'm totally fine, he wasn't going to like me anyway!" she said as cheerfully as she could

"Mari...you loved the guy, don't you feel sad...?"

"Nope! I have to go, bye!"

"Mari I-" Marinette ended the call before she could say anything else. Mari gets up and gets a glass of water from the kitchen.

"Sweetie? Are you okay?" her mom showed up in front of her.

"Yeah, mom, I'm fine" she hugged her mom and walked upstairs to her room again.

"Do you really feel fine?"

"No, not at all" Mari went up to her balcony and rolled up her sleeve a bit to see the cuts she did.

I'm worthless 

 Adrien's POV

Adrien sits in his room with his best friend, Nino.

"What happened with Marinette? Are you two dating now?" Adrien looked at his best friend with a confused face.

"No, Marinette and I are just friends."

"Come on dude, I saw the present. It means that-" Nino gets interrupted by a loud noise coming from outside.

"What in the world was that!" Nino yelled in fear. Adrien runs to the window and sees orange trees all over Paris.

"Well, that's not normal, why are there orange trees growing everywhere?"

"I don't know, dude" Both of their phones buzz, it was a Lady blog update.

The headline was:

When they both finish reading the blog update. Adrien needed to transform, but he couldn't in front of his best friend.

"Hey, here's a crazy idea" Adrien puts his hands on Nino's shoulders, "why not don't you play some video games and I'll hit the shower?"

"Shower? Now?" Nino's eyebrow raised his eyebrow.

"What can I say? It's the model in me" Adrien races to his bathroom and opens his shirt to take Plagg, his kwami.

"What is it now?"

"Its time to fight whoever is behind this!" Adrien puts his fist out and says "Plagg, Claws Out!" Adrien transforms into Chat Noir.

Chat leaps out and runs to the source. Below he sees a lot of orange trees in the middle of Pairs and its growing fast. When Chat finds Ladybug, he comes up right next to her and gives her a kiss on her hand. Ladybug rolls her eyes.

"Come on, kitty" Ladybug gives him a little nudge, "Time to bring down this villain!"

"Right behind you, my lady~" Chat and Ladybug sprint to find whoever is behind this.

When they find the villain Ladybug tries to get them unconscious but fails by getting tangled in the tree roots.

The villain laughs and grips Ladybug tighter.

"Who are you?" Chat asked

"I am Vite, and you should eat your Vitamin C!"

"Nah, I'm good" Chat tries to get him unconscious as well, but also fails.
