"The boy I loved, doesn't love me back."

"He's such a jerk!" Chat yelled,

"You are way better and prettier than all the other girls in Paris!" Chat yells softly and comes closer, only an inch away from kissing her sweet and beautiful lips again.

 "Chat...?"

"Yes, my princess?" Marinette holds Chat's hand.

 "Will you protect me, forever?"

 "Yes."

 -------------------------------

As Chat looked into Mari's eyes, he saw a beautiful girl that shouldn't deserve a broken heart. He kissed her cheek and said,

"I have to go, my princess, I'll see you tomorrow under the stars."

"May I see you out? Please?" Mari held his hand and felt his chest.

"All right, you can see me out." Chat and Mari were still holding each other's hands as they went up to the balcony.

 "Good Night, my princess."

"Night, Chat," Chat leaves and Mari doesn't leave the balcony until she can't see Chat anymore. Tikki comes up and says,

 "What happened there, Marinette?"

"Tikki, I think I'm in love with Chat Noir now, screw Adrien." she looks at her wrist and remembers the blood dripping from her arm.

"Never again will I ever cut my skin,"

Mari went back inside and went to bed as snug as she ever was. The next morning, Mari woke up with a smile on her face. She wanted to go back to yesterday night, where she fell in love with the one and only, Chat Noir.

"Time to go to school, Tikki," she said while getting ready and going down the stairs to get a croissant.

 "Morning Ma and Pa"

"Morning, sweetie," her parents said concurrently.

"I have to go," Mari said while checking her backpack for everything. "I do not want to be late for school."

"That's fine, sweetie." her mom kissed her head as she saw her daughter walk out the door.

Mari walks to school, taking her time and smell the winter air, humming. When she gets to school, she takes her seat. She's the first one in the classroom which is unusual for her peers, but she does not care. Alya comes in and sits in another seat away from Marinette.

"I don't blame you for being upset me," Mari says without looking up from her notebook. "You...don't?" Ayla said in a nervous tone.

"Nope, I know what I did and all I can say, I'll do anything within reason in your trust and friendship back, even if I have to make you a dress for your date with Nino."

"How did..." "Ayla, I'm your best friend, I know things."

"Well, then that's a start." Ayla stands up and comes and sits by her again, hugging her. "Welcome back, Marinette."

"Thanks." After they talked about what dress Ayla was going to wear for her date, everyone came in surprised that Ayla and Mari were sitting with each other again.

"Hey everyone," she said while looking around for Adrien. When she finds him, she gives him a disgusting look.

"How was your night, Adrien?" she says displeased.

 "Umm...it was good, I guess."

"Whatever, I hope you find the one whom you love, because I know I'm not the one at all."

Marinette hisses and looks away. Adrien wanted to say something back to Marinette, but then regretted it and sat down in his usual seat; he put in his head down while feeling pain in his chest and a tear runs down his cheek, but he wiped it before anyone saw it. He wanted to know why Mari was becoming a mean person towards him; he also wants the pain in his chest to stop. When the teacher came in, the students started to get to work. Adrien tried to talk to Marinette, but she kept ignoring him. When lunchtime strikes, the teacher walks out and tells everyone to have a good lunch.

"This is payback, Agreste," Mari thought to herself as she pushed him down to the floor; she laughs and walks out. Adrien tries to get up on his own but results in falling again on the cold floor. Nino helps him up and steadies him. Ayla gives him water.

"I'm so sorry about Mari," Ayla says as he takes the water and drinks it slowly. "I don't know what has gotten into her."

"It's all my fault actually," Adrien looked up "I don't love her back."

"Wait, what?" Ayla looks at him in disbelief, "I thought..."

"You thought wrong, I only think of her as a great friend of mine." Adrien stands up and looks at everyone, "I love someone else." Adrien walks out, feeling an ache on his arm and runs home.

When he gets home, he has a light lunch since he doesn't feel well. When his father, Gabriel, comes in. He notices a bruise on his son's arm.

"Son?" Adrien looks up to see his father speaking.

"Yes, father?"

"What happened to your arm?" Gabriel said concerned, "Did someone push you? If they did-" Adrien interrupts his father,

"Yes, I was, but it was on accident."

"Who would hurt my son?"

"Some model would since I'm as popular as ever in Paris." Adrien looks at his father and then told his father the truth.

"Marinette was the one that pushed me, but it was an accident," Adrien said worryingly,

"Please father, don't charge her." Gabriel gave it a long thought and said,

"All right, but if this happens again, I'll put matters in my own hands." Adrien smiles and hugs his father.

"Thanks, Father."

"Anything for my son." Adrien packs his stuff and puts a bandage on his bruise.

"Bye, Father," Adrien said with a smile. Gabriel waves goodbye. When Adrien gets to school, he kept his head down so Marinette won't mess with him again.

When he got to the classroom, he knew he had to take the hate, it was his fault after all. When Mari came in, she went straight to her seat without making eye contact with Adrien. Two minutes before class started, Mari had a smirk on her face and laughed to herself. When the clock struck 12:45 pm, she said:

"This is revenge, Agreste."
