It has been 2 weeks ever since Jin came and stayed in the castle. Namjoon has been helping him how to speak. Fortunately, Jin is a fast learner but he still can't speak straight. He would let out gibberish and stuttering words that Namjoon found it funny and cute.
"So, Jin, when is your birthday?" Namjoon asked as he played with the water. Jin looked at Namjoon confusingly and blinked. "W-w-what ish...is b-birthday?" Namjoon gasped at the merboy. "Well, Jin, birthday is happens once a year as we age and it's a special event to celebrate for the time of your birth." He explained. When Jin finally understood about it, he looked down and sighed sadly. "I.... I-I h-have n-no b.... birthday." Namjoon saddened and hugged him. "It's okay, Jin. Your birthday can be any day." Namjoon said and Jin looked at him with his sparkling eyes. "R-really?" Namjoon nodded. "Really." He answered and patted his pink hair.
"I have to go, Jin. The instructor is waiting for me." Namjoon said as he stood and Jin pouted at him. "Stay." He whined cutely as he wagged his mermaid tail. Namjoon chuckled and ruffled his hair. "I have to learn too, Jin. Knowledge is a good food for the brain." He said logically making Jin giggle. "O-okay." He stuttered with a smile.
Namjoon loved that smile. For a six-year old boy, he wanted to make his new friend happy.
"Bye."
"Bye."
Namjoon left the bathroom, leaving Jin alone. He sighed and leaned against the tub with his bare back.

"According to the Royaumean History, a long time ago, there was a kingdom in the sea called Korallia." The instructor spoke while pacing back and forth as Namjoon wrote down some important notes.
"Royaume and Korallia were once two united kingdoms. However, the merpeople betrayed them by drowning the sailors."
Namjoon stopped writing and looked at the instructor with wide eyes. "What? They kill?"
The instructor nodded. "Merpeople have a very beautiful voice and they use their ability to take advantage against humans, not to mention their beauty were out of this world."
"Is that the reason why the fishermen and other ships are too scared to go further to the sea?" Namjoon asked.
"Yes, your highness. And that's the reason why we must not go far from this kingdom. Mermaids are the definition of temptation."

Jin was swimming around the tub out of boredom until he heard the door open and close. Jin went in front of the tub, happily excited to see the human boy. The door opened and then the smile on Jin's face faltered as he saw Namjoon's serious look.
"J-Joonie? W-why that look?" He asked feeling concerned. Namjoon went in front of Jin and sat down on the steps. Jin went closer to him. "W-w....what is wrong?" He asked, stuttering in his words.
"Jinnie?"
"Yes?"
"Would you betray me?" Namjoon asked and looked at Jin. The merboy got confused.
"What's betray?"
"Betray means that you will hurt the people who are close to you after all they have done for you."
Jin shook his head. "I w.....w-will never b-betray you, Joonie." He said and touched his cheek, caressing it. Namjoon was shock at his action but then he relaxed and smiled at the merboy in front of him. "That's all I need to hear." He said and puts his hand on top of his, making the merboy blush.
Jin wondered why his friend was asking him that question but he decided to shrug it off.
"I have to go to my mom, I'll be back." Namjoon said and left the bathroom again. Jin sat there, staring at the door, feeling dazed. He looked at his hand where Namjoon touched and his heart started to beat faster as his cheeks turned pink unknowingly.
"What am I feeling?"
