'Hyeri,' I turned around and saw Jin standing in the doorway with a plate with breakfast in his hands. The cat on the end of my bed hissed at him like he did every morning.
The broad shouldered man watched the cat with his eyes wide open and swallowed before he slowly entered the room and put the plate on the bed. As far away possible from the cat obviously.
He was the one that saved my that night. He brought me upstairs to the attic what he turned into a simple bedroom so I could rest.
When I woke up in a unknown room after being in a coma for three days he introduced himself as Kim Seokjin with a bright smile. He told me that he was the owner of the tea shop and that he prefers to be called Jin.
I do feel sorry for the kind, hardworking man who has taken care of me these past four weeks. The only thing he knew about me was my name and that I almost died in front of his cafe/house. But I was scared. Scared that he would find out what I am.
'Thank you,' I spoke softly, but hard enough for him to hear.
I bowed and pulled at a thread that was sticking out of the simple but beautiful green dress he gave me.
He smiled and gave me a single nod before he glared at the cat and rushed out of the room making the angry calico cat stop hissing.
I sighed and walked over to the plate. I smiled slightly when I saw what he cooked for me today.
Three fresh baked croissants, one cooked egg, a bowl with grapes in it, a glass of water and a cup coffee.
I have only known Jin for four weeks and I already knew that he was a big show-off when it came to his so called "cooking skills". I've got to admit his dishes always tasted amazing, as well as the coffee he made.
My cat walked on over and laid down next to me with his side pressed against my leg. Since that night the cat never left my side and protected me from people who seemed like a threat.
Jin seemed like a really kind person though. I guess the cat just didn't like him. But I think the feeling was mutual.
After I ate the food Jin made for me I slowly walked to the door and opened it. It has been four weeks but I had never had set a footstep out of the room.
I stepped barefoot on the cold wooden floor and looked at my right but that was a death-end so I turned left and saw a wooden stair with narrow steps.
I walked down the stairs and ended up being beside the bar where the tea was made. I looked at the sign on the door. The cafe was still closed.
'You must be that Hyeri girl Jin was talking about, right?' My heart skipped a beat when I heard a voice right next to me.
I turned to the side and saw a guy with slightly orange hair that had seated himself on the counter, legs swinging. When he smiled soft dimples appeared in his puffy cheeks. The dimples were not noticeable if you stood a few feet away from him.
'Hoseok you're scaring her,' Jin said when he walked through a door, that probably lead to the kitchen, wearing a cooking apron. Hoseok mouthed a fast and soundless sorry before he jumped of the counter and backed away a little.
Jin stepped behind the counter to put the tea pot that he was holding away before he walked back to us and leaned his hip against the counter.
He crossed his arms and asked me if I was okay. I nodded my head and looked around.
'Y-yes, I'm okay. I just- I just wanna thank you for what you're did for me. I'm sorry if I have been a burden to you these last few weeks.' He shook his head and smiled.
'Don't worry you haven't been a burden to me at all and stop thanking me. Every person would have helped you in the state you were in. It's nothing.'
Hoseok just smiled at me and stole a hand full of cookies out of a jar without Jin noticing. He hid them behind his back as he walked backwards towards the door.
'Well, it was nice to finally meet you Hyeri, but I should go now.' He opened the door awkwardly and made his way out of the cafe but not before he bumped his shoulder painfully against the doorframe.
'Oh Jin, you're coming tomorrow night right? Kookie and I need you.' Kookie? Jin looked at me for a second and then turned himself back to Hoseok.
'I'll let you know,' he replied. Hoseok nodded and ran out before Jin could say his goodbye's. Jin sighed and shook his head.
'He stole the chocolate chip cookies again, didn't he?'
