Amelia's POV
I woke up in the am white room. A bright light came down from on top of me. I felt a hand squeezing mine.
"M-mom" I croak, my voice was raspy and dry.
"Amelia baby I'm right here" I see my mom squeezing my hand again.
"Lia princess" I see Charlie, her face drenched in tears, eyes puffy, hair unbrushed.
"Charlie." I move to face her slowly lifting my hand wiping a tear off her cheek.
She grips my hand with not tear pooling out of her eyes.
"I almost lost you angel, i almost lost you" she whispers to me.
"I'm right here" I say with a small smile.
We shared a bond no one could ever break between us. When I was old enough to know what stories they could tell me about from when I was a small baby. They always told me the Charlie was like my second mom.
They told me how we used to sleep together and have our arms wrapped around one another. When ever my mom yelled at me Charlie would always defend me. She was like my second mommy.
Ethan, Grayson, Cameron, and Noah barge through the door.
"I called this little stinker and he told me to come pick him up" Ethan tells me messing up Noah's hair.
"How you feeling baby" Cameron says plopping down next to my mom.
"The same, jus feeling like me" I say smiling at them.
Noah moves around awkwardly around the room. Grayson put Charlie on his lap and took the last seat in the room. Ethan has a chair along with Cam and my mum.
"Noah come sit here" I pat the side of the bed next to me.
"Lia it's okay I can stand" he says fixing his hair slightly.
"Noah come please" I pout using my puppy eyes, the ones that make Charlie happy because she taught me them.
I see her small smirk growing on her face and Grayson's eyes widen cause he knows those eyes so well.
"Lia I'm okay I swear- "
"Noah just sit on the bed kiddo other wise those eyes are gonna haunt you little dude" Ethan says interrupting Noah.
Noah let's out a small laugh and sits on the bed next to me. I put my head on his shoulder and listen to everyone's chatter in this small beige hospital room.
"Are you sure your okay" I hear Noah ask me.
"Mhm I'm okay Noah just a cough nothing serious." I say closing my eyes a little. Noah does the same and soon we both fast a sleep head on shoulder just sleeping.
I wake up to a nurse coming in my room checking the paperwork on the front of the bed.
"Hi Ms.Pearson I'm head to just listen to your coughs and check you temperature and heartbeat." She say her voice soft and easy.
I nod and gently wake Noah up. His arm was wrapped around my waist and head was still on my shoulder. He moves over to a chair and the nurse checks everything she has too.
She leaves and Noah comes back on my bed and cuddles back up to me wrapping his arms around my waist tightly.
"Noah what's wrong" I say with a soft giggle.
"Amelia I could've lost you" he says with a small sniffle. I feel a drop fall onto my robe thing.
"Noah don't cry" I say making him look at me and wipe away his tears.
"I'm right here okay I'm not going anywhere" I say again.
