Charlotte has finally finished high school and is moving into an apartment in the city. In her search for a roommate she meets Oli. He moves in and the rest is history.
Charlotte's P.O.V I wake up to the smell of pancakes. I walk out of my bedroom and Oli is sitting on the couch with a stack of them on his plate.
"I made you pancakes too," he says. I look over at the kitchen counter and see another plate there. I pick it up and sit down next to Oli.
"You know you don't need to cook for me, right?" I said with a smile.
"I know but I always make too much anyway. I'm bad at telling how much of something I can eat."
"Uh huh? So you made ten pancakes thinking you could really manage that?" I raise an eyebrow.
He shrugs his shoulders and continues eating. Oli is a sweet guy. A strange mix between shy and charismatic when he wants to be, but sweet.

Oli and I are sitting in the study together, both writing on our laptops. I'm sort of stuck for ideas so I just look at prompts online then write a short story around them.
Oli notices this and says "You're only writing practises?"
"Yeah. I'm having trouble coming up with things."
"Why don't you use one of the prompts and try to see if there's a novel you could make out of it?"
"Cool. You have a lot of potential."
That comment catches me off guard. "Thanks..."
"I'm just stating the facts."
In the end, I got one of those prompts about the red string of fate and decided to write a story about two people who were in love but weren't connected by the red string. Eventually one of them dies and the other is devastated, but goes on to meet the person who is actually connected to her. I have to admit, I based her red-string lover off of Oli a bit when imagining him in my head.
As I'm writing, I feel myself getting drowsy but I continue. My head starts to bob a little and I struggle to keep my eyes open.
Then I fall asleep.

Ollie's P.O.V "Hey, Charlotte. What do you think of-" I turn around and see she's fallen asleep.
I consider waking her but she looks peaceful, so I pick her up and take her to her room. She doesn't wake up as I set her back down on her bed.
