Claire's POV

Wait let me process this.... IM GOING TO AMERICA?!

"Wait, are you actually serious?!" I asked in disbelief.

I mean I am truly humbled that they think I'm responsible enough to live on my own! Right? I'm gonna live on my own right?

"Yes." My mom said as she nodded.

"I can't believe this!" I said with excitement in my words.

"You're gonna live in America, but you'll have a bodyguard with you and Charlotte will still visit you from time to time for your princess lessons." My Father said.

A bodyguard?! Well there it goes down the drain, thinking I'm responsible enough to do this on my own. I'm still 17 after all.

"Now, moving to another country especially trying to live a normal life yet apparently you're a royal can be quite hard, darling." My mother said.

I sighed. Oh yeah, still got alot of work to do.

"Don't worry we have it all arranged, Claire." My Father said. I assume that he is not pissed now, that's a relief.

I'm so happy that I have a such supporting and understanding parents. I hugged them.

"I love you both so much." I said to my parents.

"Well, don't forget me Claire." Alexandra said as she barges through the room.

"You knew?" I asked while raising my right eyebrow.

"No, I just heard it from the door silly." She said.

"You'll be back before your Coronation." My father said, serious within those words.

"Coronation? Are you saying?" What? Already? Coronation? I'm not ready yet, I can't do this.

"Yes my darling, I'm afraid your father insisted when you turn 18 we shall start your Coronation." My mother gently said.

"But- but Father, I'm not ready. Please give me some time, I cannot do this." I said stuttering.

"This will be our agreement, Elizabeth. Once we see that you're eligible enough, on how responsible you are for a year. The Coronation shall begin." My father said with seriousness in his words.

I look at Alexandra, she looked away clearly stating that she has nothing to say, I wish I could stand up for myself. But it's what I have to do. I'm lucky enough to live a normal life even just for a year.

"I understand, Father. It's my responsibility." I said.

"We shall begin your arrangements in the morning, darling. Wake up early, okay?" My mother said while smiling.

I smiled back. "Yes mum."

"You two are now dismissed." My father said.

"Yes Father." I and Alexandra said in unison.

We both went outside and Alexandra grabbed my arm.
