My heart pounded when I heard that voice...
"E-Ember!" Benetha called.
Halos hindi ako makapaggalaw sa posisyon ko ngayon na umiyak sa mga hita ni Benetha dahil sa boses na iyon! Bakit nandito si Ember?! Timing pa talaga na nagda-drama ako na lasing oh!
"Why do you guys looked so surprised? Is there something wrong?" I heard her asked but suddenly, I felt so nauseated so I tugged Benetha's pants.
"A-Ari? What's wrong?" It's a relief that she remembered my fake name but shit, I'm gonna throw up! Bigla akong tumalikod sa kanila at sumuka sa sahig!
BLEURGH!
"WHAT THE HELL! EW!" Sigaw ni Zage pero sumuka ulit ako! Oh no, I'm losing conciousness...
Bigla ko na lamang naramdaman ang mainit na kamay sa mga balikat ko at dahan dahang itinapik-tapik ang likod ko saka hinawakang mabuti ang matataas kong buhok para hindi sagabal sa mukha ko.
"S-Sorry." Bulong ko na siya lamang ang makakarinig at hinayaan ang sarili kong makahiga sa mga balikat nito.
"No problem. You can use me as a pillow. I can take care of you here." Sabi ni Rave kaya tumango ako.
I'm really sorry, Rave.
I just let darkness consume me and slept in his arms. I trust Rave.
ALARIC
"A-Ari? What's wrong?" Did I hear Benetha right? Ari? That's Lady Ari on her lap sleeping?
Lady Ari suddenly turned around while kneeling on the cold ground, both of her palms on the ground, and suddenly vomit!
Bago pa ako umabante para tulongan siya ay mabilis na tumayo si Rave sa inuupuan niya saka inalalayan si Lady Ari.
I just gritted my teeth and clenched my hands close.
Somehow....
I felt angry seeing him so close towards Lady Ari.
I suddenly felt frozen from my thought. Oh no, I like the Lady Ari? But I only like her. I don't love her.
Then, why does my heart beat so loudly whenever I see her? Why does my insides feel like it it turned into knots whenever I see that white hair?
Am I insane?
"Guys, I will be heading out first, may pasok pa at exams pa namin bukas kay Prince Rave rito." Sabi ni Jung Sik, dahilan sa paggising ng diwa ko sa pinag-iisip ko.
"You should be. Go ahead now and practice your skills." Jung Sik went straight to the exit of the diner so I just shook my head and tried my best to evade my gaze towards Lady Ari in Rave's arms, sleeping so beautifully.
"Gosh, so awkward." Sabi naman ni Zage and I felt the same, but why are they exactly feeling awkward right now?
I just grabbed myself a cold glass of water and drink it.
"So? You turned her down?" Bigla akong nabulonan sa tanong ni Zage kaya napa-ubo naman ako!
I put the glass down the table, "h-how did you know- I mean, what do you mean?!" I shouted and people in the diner were looking at us!
This is embarrassing!
"Don't pretend you didn't know, come on your majesty. Ayesha didn't even know who you really were, and also, it was the right decision for you to turn her down." Rave said and I lowered my head in defeat.
"I was angry about her actions earlier." I started while looking at my reflection inside of my glass.
"There was a one girl who she hanged out with, then I accidentally heard what they were both talking about. The girl warned her about me, being a sinned man who committed blesphemy against the church." I said while not looking at them.
"Then she shouted to challenge the high preistess of this world just because she likes me. I appreciate her feelings but I cannot endanger her because of me and her naiveness." I sighed and Zage was stunned.
"Damn, so she would go that far, huh?"
"I guess so, it's Ayesha we are talking about here." Dagdag naman ni Rave but somehow, Benetha is pointing daggers at me with her glares.
What's her problem?
I looked around me to make sure if she was looking towars me and we were the only customers left on this table.
"Your majesty." Benetha coldly called and I am surprised.
"Y-Yes Captain?"
"You literally just dumped Ayesha because you have someone who you already liked." Shit! She saw through me!
"I-I don't have one-"
"Well, Lady Ari here also got drunk because she was rejected by the guy she likes. Poor girl." Zage said and my heart instantly sank!
The clock tower rang and body slowly changed to my original body. "S-She was rejected?!" I smack my palms on the table and stood up on my chair angrily and the three of them raised their brows at me.
"Your majesty. We knew that you fell inlove to this girl, sleeping so soundly in Rave's arms." Benetha said and Zage raised a brow towards Benetha.
"I knew that? All I knew was his majesty was in a good mood for the past couple of weeks- OH!" Zage finally realized and I grit my teeth in total embarassment!
"W-Why are you observing me?! You guys are evading my personal space!" I shouted at them and they just shook their heads in dissappointment.
"So? Do you like her just because Lady Ari is pretty or...???" Tanong ni Zage at umiba naman ang timpla ng mukha ko.
"Don't mistook me like a damn bastard." I said and sit down on the chair again. "I like her because I feel at peace whenever I am around her. It feels weird for me too. You guys are fully aware that I cannot sleep sometimes, but whenever I can see her or even have a conversation with her, I can sleep peacefully." I said and looked at my reflection on the glass of water again.
"It feels like home for the first time." I said and Zage suddenly bursted out laughing!
"Bullshit your majesty! HAHAHA!" I just shook my head and buried my face with a palm of my hand then took a peak at Lady Ari who was sleeping so soundly on Rave's chest.
My heart instantly pounded and I heave a loud sigh.
"I also have something to confess." I said and Zage stopped laughing. "We are all very aware about the curse of the King Alaric for thousands of years right?" I asked and they nodded.
Tumayo ako sa kinaupuan ko at dahan dahang lumapit patungo sa puwesto nila Rave.
"Hair as white as snow and eyes as pretty as those glistening golds. Skin so smooth and fair as those white flowers that blooms beautifully." I stopped my tracks and touched Lady Ari's locks of white hair.
"I painted her ever since I lost my memories. I thought she was nothing to me. But then the moment I broke open the locked room just a few days ago, I couldn't believe my eyes. Thousands of paintings and portraits were stored inside that room full of this beautiful face of hers."
"The portraits and painting from the different times of the Lady Ari."
"I swear it looks like her, but the eye color of her right eye is oceanic blue. Those paintings have golden eye colors." I said and squeezed my eyes tight and went back to my seat.
"The curse of the King is back..." Bulong ni Benetha na hindi makapaniwala and I clasped my hands together in deep worry.
"I must separate myself towards this woman at any cost but I cannot..." I cannot express my words how deepy painful I felt right now.
"I will feel nothing but pain in my chest whenever I cannot see her in just a mere second."
My beloved Lady Ari, perhaps fate really hated the both of us, being together.
