Sorry for the cliff-hanger. It was needed, honestly.
STORY TIME!!!!

Yang: "WHAT IS HAPPENING HERE?!"

The two of you froze in place from fear, then quickly let go of each other and faced the opposite way, blushing.(of course)

Ruby: "N-nothing, sis. I just asked Matthew how he was feeling after his first class."

Yang: "Oh yeah? Then what was that hug about?"

(y/n): "Yang, what did I tell you about inquisitive questions?" You smile as you see Yang blush in awkwardness as she is remembering your outburst.

Yang: "Sorry, Matthew. It's just that... Ruby is my younger sister, so it's my responsibility to keep her safe. And to stop her from doing stupid things," looking at Ruby with a very smug look.

Ruby just pouts as you nod in agreement, your thumb and pointer fingers on your chin, making it look like you are thinking.

(y/n): "Very valiant, Yang. That's what I like about you. No matter what happens, FAMILY comes first. Very admirable."

Yang just shrugs. The next moment, Weiss' head appears in the doorway: "Come on, you two. We don't wanna be late to Ms. Goodwitch's class."

Ruby & Yang: "Bye, Matthew! See you later," they say while leaving the classroom.

You just wave goodbye. As soon as they are out of sight, you fall to your knees for two reasons:
1. Flirting with a girl for the first time and hugging a pretty girl, passionately, was exhausting, and
2. You were in pain because of your forearm. It felt like a large, heated up, jagged, rusty combat knife was being stabbed into it. Except worse, since the knife thing already happened to you.

Your legs were too weak to even move, much less carry you to the nuraes office. But, because of what would most people call determination, you called stubborness or the will to survive, you somehow managed to get a bo-staff from your weapons rack and used it as a walking stick.

The "journey" to the nurses office was excruciatingly painful, but luckily for you, all the students and teachers were in class so nobody saw you. You reach the infirmary, knock on the door, wait for the nurse to open it, say: "I'm back for my check up," and, unconcious, fall backwards to the ground.

[timeskip ~3 hours]

[nurses office]

Even though you were unconcious, you could hear, in this case, a conversation taking place. You learned how to do this when you were basically a hobo. There was a saying (which I may or may not have made up) in the streets: "Deep sleepers sleep forever."

Sadly, the conversation was taking place further away, so you could only hear words from time to time.

???: "... fell over... rotting..."

???: "... cut off... several weeks..."

???: "... impairment... proceed?"

???: "... immediately... serious danger..."

You could then hear footsteps getting louder. As the steps got closer, you presumed, they stopped and a womans scream was heard.

???: "AAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!! WHAT IS THAT?!"

???: "QUICKLY! GET TO COVER!" a man screamed, all the while a deep, bone-chilling growl could be heard.

After about 10 minutes, the growling disappears and the people in the room (who were hiding behind the nurses desk, mind you) came close to you again. You could hear them gasping for air from fear.

???: "What-what w-was THAT?!"

???: "I-I don't know. At least it's gone. I think we should wait for the patient to wake up so we can proceed."

They didn't have to wait long.

You slowly awaken, just to find yourself tied down on a bed by your right arm. As you glance it, the urge to vomit was slowly settling in, since the arm was already ROTTING! (just likr a zom-zom, but all the skin and bones are "intact". It oozes liquids, is basically barf colored and hurts like a #?!*@-*?#!.)

(y/n): "Hrrrg... *swallows back puking* Ho... Ho... How did this happen?"

???: "I think that should be answered by you, don't you think?"

You look around the room. Your attention was immediately caught by professor Ozpin, sipping his coffee, next to him is the nurse, who looks a bit paler than usual.

(y/n): "Professor Ozpin? What's going on? Why am I tied down? And what's *almost hurls, but doesn't* w-with my arm?!"

Nurse: "I have NO idea how or why, but it seems your arm is rotting as quickly as it would on the sun. Over the period of 4-5 DAYS. But way faster."

(y/n): "What?! How is that even possible? What are you going to do?"

Nurse: "Weeeeeeeeell, normally we would just cut it off, but here's the weird thing. It's not affecting the rest of your body. AT ALL."

This statement shocked you so much, words, coming out of your mouth, got messed up (just like the author in real life. Author: "Tru taht. Onli tha truf."): "W-w-... Vut?"

Nurse: "Yes. Apparently, your body is used to being damaged so much, that it basically "LOCKS OFF" damaged parts to avoid further injuries. So, we are giving you a choice now."

(y/n): "And that would be...?"

Ozpin: "You have two choices.
One: we could just cut it off. The bad side is that you will be in recovery for several weeks if not months.
Two: we don't chop it off, you come here every day for studying purposes. Bad side... the immense pain from not cutting it off.
Your choice, Matthew?"
