Kaisi dil lagaai kar gaye
Rooh ki rubaai bann gaye
Khaali khaali dono thhe jo
Thoda sa dono bhar gaya
Main aur Tum

Chalo ji aaj saaf saaf kehta hoon
Itni si baat hai
mujhe tumse pyar hai
Yunhi nahi
main tumpe jaan deta hoon
Itni si baat hai
mujhe tumse pyar hai...

Aditi’s POV
I guess he needed to do what was best for him and I was no one to stop him. I’ve got to attend HIS ENGAGEMENT PARTY tonight. HIS engagement party. How was I going to even walk into that party. I felt as if I had no one anymore. I didn’t want to go. I couldn’t even imagine myself being a part of that party. My eyes were not ready to witness something my heart didn’t approve of. I called on Poonam to tell her not to fetch me tonight as I was in no good condition to be a part of the party. Being the friend she was, she convinced me and explained to me that if I went to the party, it will only show that I was a good enough person to let him move on. Our matter needed a closure and me attending that party would fulfill that.

3 Hours Before The Party.
Aditi was convinced enough and she was in the process of readying herself to attend the function. All she told herself was that if she really cared about Zain, the least she could do was tell him she actually cared and that she wanted him to move on by merely attending his engagement party. But for her it wasn’t just about “merely” attending an engagement party. This was a matter of love and letting go. And in every event of history, love triumphed, so why would letting go have been in consideration for Aditi. But the fact that she loved him more than any decision or consequence persuaded her to do what she thought would be most beneficial to him. And she was, without a doubt, absolutely justifiable. Judging her emotions at this very moment was out of the question.

It was 8pm and Poonam and Sanjay were at her apartment to fetch her. She wore a navy blue and silver lehenga with a subtle bit of make up while she was also at her natural best. She jumped into the car, pulled the rest of her lehenga in and closed the door.
Aditi : hey guys sorry for the delay.
Sanjay : it’s cool Adu don’t bother
Poonam : agh it’s okay Adu
Sanjay : btw you look gorgeous. Don’t be nervous now.!Punnu told it all to me. We’re with you you’ll be fine
Aditi : Thanks guys. I just hope I can cope in that party for as long as possible.
Sanjay : you’ll be fine don’t worry. Ready to go ?
Aditi : yeah sure let’s get going I guess we’re already quite delayed.

Aditi, Poonam and Sanjay reached the venue of the function and were ready to enter. I’ll say Ready To Enter in quite a formal manner because this was not some easy task for Aditi. She was about to enter the engagement party of the guy she had feelings for. Or would we rather say ‘The guy she loved’. Poonam patted Aditis shoulder and told her she’d be fine.
Adi Poonam and Sanjay enter the venue. Zain and his fiancée stood about a metre or two away from the entrance greeting guests friends and relatives. Adi enters with hesitation but she knew that she needed to what she needed to do. As she entered, the sight she tried avoiding the most was the first to catch her eye. Zain Imam. He stood there with a smart black and white suit. Just like a usual Bollywood love story would showcase a lover sensing the love of his life, here too, Zain sensed the presence of something he had been longing for days. His love, his life, his world had appeared right before him while he stood next to his so called wife-to-be.

Zains POV
It was my engagement party. I stood near the entrance greeting guests and relatives. My mind may have been next to my fiancée but heart resided at someone my soul was meant to be with. I awaited her presence the most. It had been almost an hour already and she didn’t come. I wonder if she’d even attend this thing. I was in the middle of greeting one of my old friends when I felt the presence of the light that belonged to the darkness of my life. I looked back and it was her. She looked so gorgeous that my gaze wouldnt move away. She didn’t see me just as yet. But before she could notice me I turned back to my friend pretending as if I hadn’t seen her. My heart couldn’t muster up the courage to let her see me with my fiancée even if she may have not loved me like I did. I may have loved her more than I loved anyone but my decision of moving on stopped me from letting my emotions overcome my self promises. She didn’t love me, she didn’t care. She chose this path and so did I. I had no choice but to obey my mind this time. Not my heart. Before I could move in to greet our next guest. I see her, Poonam and Sanjay walk towards me. I pretended as if I hadn’t seen them but they kept getting closer and I had no choice but to act normally again. Sanjay taps me from the back
Sanjay : Congratulations buddy!
Zain : Sanjay hey how you doing buddy.
Sanjay : good buddy nice party!
