Lucy POV:

There she stood. In complete shock. Of course, I expected that. I mean, we just randomly showed up at her doorstep with no warning whatsoever. Natsu cleared his throat snapping her away from her thoughts.

"M-My apologies, c-can you re-repeat that?" Her eyes wide open. I take a nervous glance at the boys to find that they are just as worried as I am.

"We're bringing everyone back together. Fairytail back together."

"I-I see." She slowly sat down. She looked like she was in deep thought.

Then Gray gets the brilliant idea to interrupt her thought process, being Gray. "So~ um Erza... uh, what do you say?"

She took a deep breath before speaking.

"I-I don't know. I mean, don't get me wrong, I miss Fairytail as well. But, I've started a new life here. I h-have a job. My own apartment. I've had new friends that I can't abandon."

The second she says that I feel a lump in my throat.

She can't abandon them. I let out a soft laugh, causing everyone to look in my direction.

"Right Erza. I completely understand."

"Y-You do?" She was definitely surprised, in fact, so were the boys.

I slowly drop my head so that my bangs cover my eyes. "I mean, you would be a horrible friend if you just up and left. Friends are supposed to stick together no matter what happens. Especially if you leave without notifying them, or even just leave them a letter. That wouldn't be right. Your friends at work, even if the company closed, you should stay together. Right?"

"uh-uh ya! Exactly."

I nodded.

Natsu POV:

The hell was that Lucy? We're supposed to convince her to come back, not to stay!

This girl confuses me way too much. If I know one thing for sure it is that she is weird!

I look over to see her expression only to find that her bangs covered her eyes, but if one thing was for sure it was that she was frowning. Lucy never frowns. But the part that really got to me and surprised me was when I noticed it. She was trembling. She balled up her fists. I turn to see Gray, Happy, and Erza didn't notice this.

Lucy then looked up to show her chocolate brown eyes. She then smiled at Erza and said something, but I didn't catch it, no. I was focused on something else. Her smile was fake. I was the only person who could tell Lucy's real smile apart from her fake one, but it took me a long time to be able to.

Without saying another word, Lucy turned around and excited Ezra's apartment. I looked at the others, then back at the door she left from. I bolted after her.

---

After around half an hour of running around the city looking for her, I found her sat next to a tree at the beach staring into the ocean, not only that but the stars as well. It was around 1:00 pm now, so the were clear in the night's sky.

"Hey Luce. You alright?" She turned to me and gave me a soft smiled and nodded. I walked closer to her and sat beside her.

"Gray and Happy got us a motel room. We should head back." She shook her head. "Is it okay if we stay out here for a while. I love the view." I nod without saying anything.

After a few minutes of awkward silence, I decided to ask her. "Hey Luce, what happened back there at Erza's place?"

She sighed, "honestly, I don't know. I guess what she said surprised me, that's all. I thought she would come back to us with open arms. I kinda was mad and shocked at the same time, that I sort of snapped."
