A raging wave came crashing down on me, making it harder to swim.

I realized I was being pulled back, by an overwhelming force, I turned to see what was preventing me from getting away.

But before I knew it, I was immersed in a raging vortex.

All I could hear was the crashing roar which drowned out my screams.

I could hear a small faint voice in the distance.

" I'm here!" I shouted.

the seaweed appeared into the vortex allowing me to escape.

I grasped the greenish plant and quickly raced to the other area.

"Thank you everyone, I thought I was going to die" I stated.

"Where is your brother?" Amala questioned.

"He was caught" I murmured glumly.

"What did we do wrong!?" Kelp shouted in frustration.

"Let's get going," she demanded while tightly gripping the seaweed.

the dark water seems to radiate with the help of the moonlight.

We glided through the water with the help of our long flukes, that pushed through the water elegantly.

A loud screech echoed all around us which warned every one of our return.

We were bombarded with question and worries, as our family and friends crowded us.

"Something bad is happening" Amala warned.

" the Islanders are capturing, and killing Merfolk" she informed.

"They captured, Valic" she continued.

My mother came speeding through with a look of anguish before she broke down from the news.

"I have to find my son!" She pushed me off of her.

"I'm your son too!" I shouted at her before swimming away.

"Octavius!" She called out to me.

"Wait! we have to find calmer seas Octavius you are not to go off by yourself," Amara commanded.

I could feel my mother presence, but I could tell, she was holding herself back from approaching me.

" the Islanders are making our current home unsafe it's time for us to move on" Amara's father declared.
