(Welp, no one seems to be reading this stuff so I'm just going to keep posting and pray for a couple readers.)

Sans was asleep; it was nightmare filled sleep, but sleep all the same. He did that a lot, more than he ever did in the underground. His back was to the door and he was curled in the center of the cage, as far as possible from the bars sucking his magic like vampires. His bones were coated with a thin layer of sweat, or as close to sweat as the liquid magic he exuded when stressed was. A loud CLANG echoed through the room, breaking him away from the right clutches of slumber. Sans waved a hand in the air vaguely in a greeting, eye sockets remaining shut.

"Hello there." Sans's eye sockets opened and he shot up at the new voice. It belonged to a woman with a dark pink pixie cut and rose eyes. Her lab coat, unlike Jess's or Verity's, was pristine and had a long slit at the back.

Sans stared cooly at her, but the woman just smiled, what a weirdo. "Fascinating! All the other monsters had such extreme reactions to my presence, what makes you different?"

Sans watched as the woman approached the bars, plenty of practice and countless resets makes a monster really good at schooling expressions, your freakiness ain't nothing lady. He leaned against one of the walls, forcing the pain in his SOUL down to show no weakness.

The woman's smile widened, becoming predatory, "I like you little bluebird."

Jess burst into the room, "Sorry little blue, I didn't find out this was happening 'til a few minutes ago. This is Fiona, she's been going around to tell all the monsters the news!"

Sans's eye lights didn't leave the new woman, why this nut job?

Jess was nearly squealing from excitement, "The hub was  completed last night, you'll be meeting with the other monsters in there from now on for an hour every day after your midday feeding, which should be in a few hours. Right now they're moving some furniture in there so you guys can sit down. You'll get to see Papyrus soon!"

Sans had difficulty maintaining his stoic demeanor, what do you mean get to see him? back in the underground i saw him all the time. i almost wish frisk would reset so i could go back to that. At least when the monsters were killed, the kid would RESET by the end of the day once they got down to the hall and fought him or passed and killed the king.

Fiona's smile widened slightly, "If I remember correctly, skeletons are born speaking one font but can be taught to speak others. Have you learned any others beside your birth font?"

Sans narrowed his eye sockets, yeah, but there's no way i'd tell you, even if I could talk.

The unsettling human smirked, "Well, I suppose we could always check and see if your brother has."

Sans stiffened his backbone slightly, but Fera caught the movement and her smile widened to a predatory grin, "A reaction. Finally! I'll be seeing you around, little bluebird." Sans's smile almost broke and became a frown, but Jess's presence prevented it.

Jess watched Fiona leave, eyes following her down the hall Sans assumed was outside the room, "I'm sorry little blue, Fiona can be... difficult sometimes." She turned to look at Sans, "The isolation is almost over, I'll be back soon." With that, Jess left and Sans was alone again.

A few more hours, Sans thought, sitting back down, just gotta wait a little longer.

Little did he know, a few hours would be when everything was going to go downhill.
