Reece's POV

"What happened to your cheek dear?"
My mother asked me as I sat awkwardly at the dining table
"I, uh ran into the door"
I lied, tenderly stroking a bruise on my cheek that I hadn't noticed before, she nodded and continued to eat the casserole that lay before her.
"Aren't you hungry Calum?"
Joy asked him, he shook his head and continued to stare at his full plate, Joy shook her head
"Well Mrs Waters took the time to feed you, so you should eat something"
Joy suggested, My mother stood up
"No no, it's fine, he probably had a big lunch, but I'll just clear away the plates, how about you kids go upstairs"
She said as more of a statement than a question, I stood up from where I was sitting and led Calum upstairs and into my room.
"Take a seat on my bed if you want"
I said, he obliged and quietly sat on my bed, there was a silence, so I tried making conversation
"So, uh, b-before when i saw you th-through the window, I saw your eyes roll back in your head, a-are you okay?"
I asked him, putting a hand on his thigh, he shook his head
"No, but I can't tell you why"
He responded
"Who am I going to tell, I have no friends, anyway, I have my own secrets"

Calum's POV

"No, I'm not aloud"
I said quietly, she nodded knowing that i didn't want to talk about it.
I glanced over at her, I saw a marking on her wrist, I had one identical to it, I know who gave it to me, it was the demons, each time they forced me to do something, I got a new one, I had so many.
"Where did you get that marking?"
I asked with more pressure than I should've, she noticed and quickly pulled at her sleeves to cover it up
"Oh, uh, nowhere"
I could tell she was lying, I can always tell when people are lying, I showed her my one.
She stared at me in shock, her face went pale, tears were welling up in her eyes.
"Y-you too?"
She asked timidly, i nodded and lifted up my shirt slightly so she could see more.
"I've never met anybody like me before"
I said with a shocked
"You kn-"
"YOU DISOBEYED ME, YOU MUST BE PUNISHED!"
A voiced screeched at us
