A couple of years down the line...
Today is Teddy's college graduation from Harvard business school. My fifty is wearing his years so well and his gray hair is setting in. Looking at him today he looks so proud of his son. Teddy hates it to be called Teddy nowadays he wants to be called Theo rather. So we have to get used to it. Phoebe has just started college this year and the twins are in the middle of their high school career and then Abby and Shaun are in middle school. Yes, I know Christian just wanted three kids to start off with but Abby and Shaun where both oopsies and now they are our angels.
Abby is turning fifteen in a month and Shaun is turning thirteen a few weeks from today. My kids all so wonderfully balanced life's. Now that Theo is out of college Christian is going to take him under his wing. Since Teddy was a small boy he had this goal to work with his father and starting from Monday he will accomplish his very long-term goal. Theo walks on stage and received his diploma from his dean and after everything is done he walks over to us and shows us his diploma.
'You know you guys, without you and mom. My wonderful loving supporting mom and dad my dad I would not trade in the entire universe this diploma is all because you believed in me and all of us. Thank you for everything over the years.' His words brought tears to my eyes and he gave me a kiss on each of my cheeks.
'You are our first born my angel child, and don't ever sell your first born right to anyone, you hear me.'
'Yes, mama.' He said wrapping his arms around me giving me a hug.
'Come now enough tears.' Christian said pulling me to his side. I smiled up at him and nod my head. Christian hand Theo a small gift-wrapped box.
'What is this? I thought I told you guys you don't have to get me anything for graduation.'
'Oh, yeah that is right. Maybe Abby would rather love it more.' Christian joke with Theo as he tries to take the box from his hand.
'Christian you're such a tease.' We all walked to the parking lot and showed Theo to his new car a brand new bright red Audi A4 RS model. Theo's face lit up and gave Christian and me each a peck on our cheeks.
'Now I would like to give my old A1 to Phoebe since she started college.' Theo said as he got into his new car.
'If that is what you wish darling.' I said smiling at my big hearten boy that is now a man of 21 going on 22. He did his honors in business. We all set out to celebrate his graduation at a really fancy restaurant. Theo asked if it is okay to through a party at our house for his friends. Christian agreed to it but said really only a few friends not hundreds of kids. We celebrate with real champagne then head home so Theo could get the house ready for his friends to arrive.
We got home and Kaysea, Jason, Abby, and Shaun were already home from school. They all congratulated Theo on his graduation, I could see they are all so proud of their big brother. All our kids are so close and it so nice to see them all being so happy for their siblings when they achieve something really great.
The evening arrived and Theo's party was a bit loud and I can't believe I listened to that type of music and now it just sounds like noise to me and Christian. We as parents just kept ourselves scares, every now and then Christian would make a round or two to keep our young ones in line. By midnight their party died down and the rest of our kids went to bed.
I was working way into the early hours of the morning. I want this new author to have a perfect manuscript and he had to make only a few changes here and there. I was busy working on it and it was finally perfect. I mailed Hanna my instructions. This weekend we as a family are going out on 'the Grace' for some family time before Theo starts his new job on Monday.
