I'm here Bruce

I just realised that in both of my ship books the first story is now about nightmares lol

No POV

Tony was in his lab, finishing up some research and experiments. Bruce had gone to bed early this time and he was left alone to his thoughts. Usually he would be fine by himself but without Bruce it felt...different.

He would usually talk with him and he would actually understand him, not like the others. He could joke around and couldn't help but melt when he saw Bruce smile or laugh also.

He could be himself around him and so could Bruce. Tony wasn't scared of Hulk like the others. He treated Bruce just like everybody else, not worse just because of who he is.

He could rely on Bruce when he was down, so did Bruce.

He tried to deny it at first but he had developed feelings for his goofy, smart and cute giant teddy bear of a science bro.

He sighed, knowing that he should go to bed since once he starts thinking about Bruce he couldn't concentrate on anything else. He put down the tools he was working with and got up, heading to bed.

He passed Bruce's room but took a step back when he heard soft sobs and silent cries. He slowly pushed the door open and looked inside.

What he saw made his heart ache.

Bruce was laying in his bed, curled up on himself. He was shaking, sobbing and crying. Every now and then he would talk.

"No...n-no, please. Please don't...please..."

More tears ran down his face and Tony couldn't take it anymore. He stepped inside and went to Bruce's side.

He brushed his soft curly hair out of his face and lightly shook him.

"Bruce...Bruce wake up, you're dreaming..."

Bruce's face twisted in pain as he tried to hide himself more.

"No! Please! Leave him alone! Please, just don't hurt him! Not him..."

His face started turning green and the veins started to appear. Tony started to panic and shook Bruce harder.

"Bruce! Buddy, you have to wake up!"

Bruce woke up and sprung out of bed, knocking Tony over. He took a few steps and collapsed to the floor. He pulled himself to the wall and leaned on it.

He closed his eyes and tried to breathe and calm down but the nightmare kept replaying itself in his head. He pulled at his hair and a sound of pure pain and sorrow could be heard from his mouth.

Tony quickly crawled to Bruce and took his hands in his own. Bruce flinched and tried to get away but Tony took a hold of his face.

"Bruce...Bruce, look at me. Buddy open your eyes. I'm here Bruce. It's alright. I'm here..."

Bruce's eyes shot open and Tony could see them turn a glowing green. He shut them tightly and turned his head away. His body started shifting slowly, Hulk was coming out.

Bruce's breathing was getting quicker and Tony once again turned his head to face him. Bruce cried out again.

Just as he was about to shift completely Tony did the only thing he could think of, at the same time the unthinkable.

He crashed his lips with Bruce's and kissed him. Bruce's body tensed but slowly relaxed. He eventually kissed back. The kiss was soft and passionate.

They eventually had to pull away and when Bruce opened his eyes they turned back to normal. He nervously looked away but Tony slowly turned his head slightly so Bruce could glance at him from the corner of his eye.

He eventually looked at him straight in the eyes and Tony wiped away his tears and brushed his hair back out of his face again. He slowly leaned in again and when their lips were about to touch Bruce leaned forward also and closed the gap.

When they pulled back Tony slowly picked him up and Bruce hugged him tightly so he wouldn't fall off. Tony placed him on the bed and Bruce sheepishly tugged at his arm so he would join him.

Tony got in next to him and pulled him close to his chest. Their legs were tangled together and Tony kissed Bruce's head when he sniffled. His breathing eventually slowed down and he fell asleep.Tony buried his face in Bruce's hair and fell asleep himself soon after.

When they didn't show up next day anywhere in the tower others got worried. They searched everywhere, not remembering they could ask JARVIS. At last they looked in Bruce's room and whispered 'aww's could be heard as Tony hugged Bruce tighter protectively.

They took a few pictures for different reasons. They never told them about it and just accepted it when they saw them the next morning, hands intervined.
