Chapter 11:
Alana's POV:
I woke up the next day feeling relaxed and light. I am glad i told Zack the truth so now i don't need to hide it anymore. I got up, went to my closet, chose a t shirt, jeans and sneakers, took a shower, brushed my hair and teeth and wore some makeup. I went to the kitchen and ate some cereal. I went with my dad to the clinic and he left for work. I went to the reception which had an old lady sitting there.
'Hello, i have an appointment to see Dr. Jan, my name is Alana Austen.' I said, tapping my nails on the desk.The lady looked up and put a wrinkly hand on mine.
'Yes, Room number 2.' she said, smiling.
'Thanks.' i said, going to the corridor. I went into the room and saw the room. It was pristine. The walls were white, there were pictures of babies everywhere, there was a bed, a desk, two chairs, and a big old computer which Dr. Jan was typing on. She turned around and smiled at me.
'Hello, Alana. Is that your name?' she asked, gesturing me to sit on the chair.
'Yes, it is. Hello, doctor.' i said, sitting down.
'So, you look young to be pregnant. Don't you? Tell me what happened.' she said, looking at me with interest. I told the whole story from the gun to the end. She looked very sorry for me.
'I see. Well, this was obviously abuse. This boy had used you, for those reasons which teenage boys would want to harm lovely sweet girls like you. Did you love him?' she asked, holding my hand.
'Of course i did. But i know he didn't love me. He kept looking at girls everywhere we went. It was annoying and i was jealous.' i said, trying not to cry.
'Well, from what information you gave me, the baby will be fine. Just be stress free and relaxed. I wrote you a prescription in case you get stressed. ' she said, handing me a piece of paper.
'Thank you very much. I will be back in a couple of months for the second checkup.' i smiled, hugging her.
'Welcome. Remember stress free.' she said, opening the door for me.
'I will. Bye.' i said, going to the medicine shop. I got the medicine and called my dad. I told him that i will take the subway home. I saw that there was a McDonald's nearby so i decided to eat lunch there. I went inside and ordered a Quarter Pounder with a chocolate milkshake. I sat at one of the booths and happily ate my burger.
'Babe, get anything you want. I don't care. I am so happy today!' i heard some guy say. I looked up and saw Zeke with some girl.I started freaking out inside. Don't make eye contact, i thought. Zeke looked up. Shit! He saw me.
'Hey babe, order me the usual i will be right back.' he said, coming towards me. Oh boy!
'Hi..Alana.? Nice to see you! What are you doing here?' he smiled, touching my face like that horrible night. I pushed his hand away. He looked at me shockingly.
'What's the matter, babe? Sad that i dumped you? Well, i had to move on, but i needed THAT experience, you know what i am talking about.' he winked.' See that hottie over there? My babe. Not like you. You are cute. She's sexy. We just went to the clinic and found out she's pregnant. I am a dad of TWO babies.' he laughed. The so called 'hottie' came over to my booth with her tray and kissed Zeke so passionately.
'This is Sarah. Sarah, this is my ex, Alana.' he said, taking his burger.
'Hi, Alana. I have heard a lot about you.' she smiled, looking at Zeke.
'Oh really?' i said. 'Did he mention how he had it with me?' i saw Sarah's eyes widen. 'But you know, that's the past. So you are going to be a mother. Congrats. Did he force you into doing it with a drug injection?' i aid, drinking my shake.
'NO. I wanted to have a baby. Zeke is so sweet. I don't think he forced you into doing.' she said, eating her sundae.
'Well then if he is so 'sweet' then listen to this.' i told her the whole story start to finish. Zeke just stared at me madly. Sarah was smiling, i think she didn't believe me.
'Well, if he did that, i am going to forgive his sins.' she said, kissing him.
'And Alana i don't think that you should eat that junk. You should diet instead.' Zeke said, laughing. I hadn't finished my shake so i decided to dump it on Zeke and Sarah. I left with an evil smile on my face. I took a taxi to the subway, went on it and reached home. I went to the lobby and asked the lobby dude if my dad came home. He din't. So i decided to call Zack and Nikita and invite them for dinner and a movie later on that day. I called them and they said they will be here at 7:30. I went to the kitchen and made some pasta, mozzarella sticks and dips. I made the dessert and went to the bathroom to change into a lilac dress with black heels. I t was 7:30 and they arrived.
'Hey guys. So glad you could make it! I got the food ready. Not takeaway!' i laughed, so did they. We ate dinner and desert then watched Jaws 2. Nikita was so freaked out that she ran into my closet when the shark ate the people. Me and Zack laughed. After the movie, i made some coffee for us and we talked.
'So, how was the appointment today?' Nikita asked, smiling.
'It was good, she said the baby will be fine. I met Zeke today at Mcdonald's. He was with his newly pregnant girlfriend, Sarah. They made fun of me and i poured my shake on them.' i smiled.
'Awesome! Good job!' Zack said, kissing me. It felt so nice to be kissed again. I love Zack.
'It was sticky!' I aid, laughing. I looked up at them, they had serious expressions now.
'What happened?' i asked, getting worried.
'Alana we want to tell you something. Even though Zack and i are step siblings, Zack fell in love with me. He kissed me and i had to break his heart .I hope you can mend it.' Nikita said, putting her hand on my hand. WHAT? THEY WERE IN LOVE!
'WHAT? Zack had a crush on you?' i asked, shocked.
'Yes, but we are over that now so he is yours.' she smiled.
'Ok, i am totally ok with it. I don't care because all of my boy cousins had a crush on me! It was hilarious! They lined up to kiss me! I was so grossed out!' i laughed. We all laughed until it was time for them to leave. I shut the door and called my dad.
'Hello. Dad it's me Alana. Where are you?'
'Hello, Alana dear. Your father is over here he won't be coming back in a long time.' I heard a stranger's voice.
'Who is this? Where's my dad?' i asked.
'Alana help me. I have been kidnapped! HELP!'
'See? He's not coming back.Until i get my money.Bye bye.'
I dropped the phone and heard a clunk on the marble floor.
