Chapter 5: Jonathan

Princess Beauty's POV
We were all crowded around the fireplace, sitting on pillows and bean bags. Gumball was sharing chocolate and crisps around. It was 1pm already, and I had plans to go to the outdoors swimming pool.
"Guys, I'm going to go check out the pool," I said, standing up and brushing off the excess of crisps off of my skirt.
"I'll join you," Sky said, and stood up also, "I want to talk to Kiki."
Gumball looked confused, but didn't say anything. Instead, she turned off the fireplace and went onto the balcony.

"So, Sky..." I began, "What is it that you need to talk to Kiki about?"
Sky didn't say anything. She looked down, but I could see her blushing.
"Uhhh...Sky?"
Sky hit her forehead, and turned to face me.
"Fine! Fine! There's this boy...Jonathan," Sky murmured, clearly embarrassed.
I gasped, and immediately pulled her aside, "The mermaid?! My best friend?"
Sky stopped, "Yes..."
I screamed.
Typically, Sky stared at me like I was some sort of hybrid pigeon.
"Don't worry, silly. I won't tell the others," I replied, and we began to walk.

Later on at the outdoor pool
Sky stopped in her tracks. She was frozen. I looked to where she was looking, but I smiled. Jonathan.
"Hey, Jonathan!" I yelled, and he waved.
"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Sky hissed.
I ignored her and approached Jonathan.

Sky Grace's POV
There was Jonathan. His beautiful brown eyes locked with mine for a second. The way he flicked his hair to one side, his beautiful smile. And, oh, how his green tail shimmered, elegantly! I was in love and there was no denying it.

If Rosie found out, I'd be a goner. She would team up with Lulu and tell Jonathan. I realised Jonathan was smiling at me. I could feel myself going red. Immediately, I grabbed my cold mint tea and walked away as fast as possible.
