Betty. She was the only other girl I knew dating a Serpent.
Her and Jughead were like a forbidden love story in Riverdale. Sure they got some weird looks but they didn't care, they were in love. It was the same way with me and my boyfriend, Sweet Pea. We've been dating for 7 months except we've been keeping it a secret. Jughead had a life in the Northside before he went off to the south, people in Riverdale accepted him even though they didn't want to. And if I were to tell the truth, it wouldn't be the same. Pea plays a big role in leading the gang.
He lives in the south, I live in the north. He's in a gang, I'm on the planning committee. He hates the north side, I don't like- well I don't hate the south side. Sure he threatens people and he fights them but he does it all for his south side family. In a way I admire his loyalty but I don't agree with his view to solve things with fighting all the time.
But I love Pea very much and I want to go public but I'm afraid of what my friends will say about him, he means too much to me.They hate Pea. But could you blame them? If I never met him, I would assume he was a jerk too but in real life he's just....a huge softie.
Anyways back to Jughead and Betty. Not too long ago, everyone was crowded around in the hallways because of the two.
-flash back-
I walked through the half empty hallway because all the students were crowded in one area. I walked towards the crowd in confusion. What's going on?
I tried to look above everyone but I was to short to see anything. I just saw that everyone was taking pictures and whispering about what was going on.
"Excuse me."
"Coming through." I said as I started to walk through the crowded circle. I saw a blonde ponytail and a boy with a beanie.
"Excuse me, I'm friends with them."
When I saw what was painted across the wall caused my jaw to drop. 'Go to Hell Serpent Slut' was painted on the wall. In what I think was red paint but as I got closer it looked more like blood! What if this was meant for me?
But no one knows about my relationship with Pea. As I got closer to the wall I noticed there was a doll that looked like Betty so it was definitely meant for her. It's relieving that it wasn't me but still. Who the heck did this?!
"What happened?" I asked turning towards a also shocked Veronica and Archie.
"We don't know." Veronica stated looking at Archie for reassurance. I looked at Jughead as he comforted Betty and pulled her away from the crowd. I stared back at the wall. Pure disgust.
That was all I felt.
For the person who did that to Betty of all people, the nicest person I know. People are just cruel. My eyes started to tear up, what if this was me. I sniffed catching the attention of Veronica and Archie.
"Are you Okay (y/n)?" Archie asked, causing Veronica to look at me with concern.
"I'm fine." I said wiping away a single tear, "I'm just worried about Betty." I said trying to reassure the two before I walked away from the horror scene before me. Sweet pea cannot know about this.
-back to the present-
News spread like wildfire. I don't know how it ended up in the southside but it somehow did. My guess is Jughead told Sweet Pea, he was probably just looking out for me.
"No." He said walking back and forth in his trailer.
"What do you mean no?" I asked my boyfriend, both sides frustrated. I was leaning against one of his tables, arms crossed.
