as much as jaemin wanted to deny it, jeno was a good tutor, but then again that's not surprising from the school's star student. his grades were slowly rising and he felt like he could finally understand what the teacher was talking about in class despite having only had four sessions so far.

at the moment they were going through some french pronunciation for a speaking exam which was coming up soon.

"repeat after me, ils mangent"

"ils mangent"

"no it's not ils mangent it's just ils mangent, you don't pronounce the -ent"

"but why"

"i don't know jaemin okay, just accept it and move on"

knowing he was starting to get on the older's nerves, jaemin continued to question the pronunciation despite already understanding the correct way to pronounce the verb.

"but why is it written there if you don't say it, that doesn't make sense."

"what doesn't make sense is how you can't get it into your head that that's how french works and you just have to go with it"

"woah, hyung there's no need to shout at me"

"yes there is jaemin, you rarely listen to me and you've not thanked me once for spending my free time with you just to save your ass from being suspended"

"what makes you think i want to be here either? just because you're mr perfect doesn't mean you get to look down on me"

jeno sighed and started to pack away his books not wanting to continue the argument, especially not in the library where they were already on the receiving end of several glares for raising their voices.

"i think it's time we finish up and go home, we're obviously not going to get much french done by sitting here bickering. good luck on the test remember what i taught you." and with that he walked out of the library leaving a mildly guilty (but mostly annoyed) jaemin sat at the table, textbook still laid in front of him.

yep.

it was definitely going to be a long few months of tutoring.
