it was true, jeno and his friend had just walked into the library but it wasn't like jaemin to put his phone down before jeno passive aggressively tells him to. jaemin thought over it for a second before dismissing it as him being eager to learn now he can see improvement in his grades.

"hey jaemin this is donghyuck, hyuckie this is jaemin"

jaemin felt a pang if jealousy at the nickname, how could jeno be so nice to everyone yet so cold towards him. shrugging it off jaemin replied and got ready for the rest of his tutoring session, today was chemistry. surprisingly, jaemin wasn't terrible at chemistry when he actually put his mind to it making the session fly by.

as they were packing up jaemin heard jeno and donghyuck aggressively whispering to each other until one of them clears their throats. loudly. so loud they caught the attention of half the library causing a deep red blush to crawl up jeno's neck whilst mumbling an apology.

"another agreement, you won't do that again"
"shut up idiot"

but his next move shocked jaemin, the lee jeno ask the painfully average na jaemin to go get ice cream with him. and donghyuck of course. what shocked him more was his response

"i-i um sure yeah let me just text my mum and stuff u-uh yeah"

jaemin felt his cheeks go hot making a blush to match jeno's which had only darkened further.

why did he say yes? he hates jeno. why was he stuttering? this was not was he signed up for. what was wrong with him?
