another day of tutoring and another day of the two boys bickering back and forth over something totally irrelevant to the subject they were studying.

"why couldn't juliet just run away and live happily ever after with romeo?"

"do i look like william shakespeare to you?"

"now that you say it-"

"nope, that's enough, i've heard enough from you for today let's finish this act then leave"

by this point the librarian had given up on glaring at the two boys who had ruined the silence of the library for the past several weeks, allowing them to 'study' in the far corner of the building where their voices can't be heard from her desk.

jeno couldn't deny that jaemin had been making a bit more of an effort after he saw the improvement in his grades, which was encouraging, however he still managed to ask some of the stupidest questions jeno's ever heard.

"why are there different global landscapes? i've only ever seen one type of globe."

stupid.

"if colours are just different types of light, why don't all paints glow in the dark?"

stupider.

"when will i ever need pythagoras, i never get the right angle anyway"

was that meant to be a joke? it was the worst attempt of a joke jeno had ever heard before.

and the question everyone has argued over before, yet jaemin still believed he most desperately needed jeno's input on it:

"is water wet?"

that's what drew the line for jeno really. and that's how they came to the agreement that jaemin can only ask a question when jeno has finished what he was saying and only if he's to ask a question which is relevant to the topic.

little did the boys know that that was the first of many agreements to be made in their tutoring sessions...

i'm so sorry for the lack of updates, after my exams i went on an expedition across the world without my phone (it was the most amazing experience in my life!!) but i'm back now and i've started school again so hopefully i'll fall into some kind of routine!! thank you for putting up with me! ♡
