{ 8 } Falling Game

Sofia's POV

It's Sunday and nandito ako sa school for fun. Why? Boring sa bahay and I want to see Alice again.

"Sofia?" Biglang may tumawag sa likod ko.

Lumingon ako and.."Alice! Nandyan ka na pala."

"Of course! Anyway, doon kaya tayo sa fields para makahiga tayo sa grass. Agree?"

"Sure!"

Papunta na sana ako sa fields ng biglang tumakbo si Alice. "RACE YOU TO THE FIELDS!"

Nagulat ako pero tumakbo na rin papunta sa fields. Haha. As the queen here at school, I know the short cut.

I went the other way at dumaan sa canteen and exit in the back door. Then..Boom! I'm first!

"Alice! I'm here first!" Bungad ko pagkarating niya.

"What the..how?"

I just shrugged my shoulders and grin. Haha. She doesn't know the shortcut

"Okay..I get you. Secrets,huh?"

Tumango ako.

"Okay! Dito muna tayo sa grass. I have a blanket." Sabi ni Alice at may kinuha sa backpack Nita na isang blanket. Cool! Ready pala ito eh.

Nagising ako bigla sa tulog ko dahil sa kalabit.

Tsk. Si Yaya naman! Sinabi ko na nga na ayokong pumapasok sa kwarto ko at ginigisng ako eh!

Dinilat ko na ang Mata ko at..woah. I'm at school. "Sofia, I need to go. Tinawagan na ako ni Mommy at may pupuntahan pa daw kami. Sorry."

Kinusot ko muna ang mga mata ko. "Ha? Uuwi ka na? Sabi ni Tita Allison?" Sunod-sunod kong tanong.

"Yup. Ikaw? Uuwi ka na ba? Paka naman nandoon si Tita Sage."

Pinagisipan ko muna ang tanong ni Alice. Uuwi na ba ako? Pero boring naman sa bahay. Wala naman kami pupuntahan this weekend. Whatever.

"Nope. I'll just stay here. Sige. Gagala na lang ako sa campus." Sabi ko at tumayo na.

Yinakap muna ako ni Alice. "Thanks,Sof. Anyway, let's just chat later,'kay?" Tumango ako. "Okay! Byeee!" Sabi niya at naglakad na palayo.

Psh. Now, what am I gonna do? Wala na si Alice.

Hmm.. magiikot na nga lang ako sa campus para magpalipas ng oras.

Tumingin ako sa paligid and saw Gavriel playing soccer mag-isa habang may mga babae naman na pinipicturan siya. Pss. Kung nandyan si Gav and girls, nandyan rin si Daze.

I run off papunta sa playground para makapaglaro naman when..

"Aahh!"

"Uyy,Miss!"

Ugh. Good thing I didn't wear my uniform or else, it would be dirty! I just fell my butt straight on the floor! Sino ba itong hindi tumitingin sa dinadaanan na bumangga sakin? Kainis naman oh! Nadumihan pa ako!

"Watch where you're going! Who are you anyway?" Sabi ko at pinagpag ang dress.

"Sofia?"

Wait, please don't tell me it's..."Daze?"

"Anong ginagawa mo?" Tanong niya kaya ko siya tinaasan ng kilay.

"I was running. Until you bumped in. Psh." Sagot ko then continued going to the playground but slowly. Walking. Ayoko madapa ulit.

I was just walking towards the playground when I heard Daze shouting kaya ko binilisan ang lakad ko.

"Sofia! Antayin mo ko!" Pahabol na sigaw niya.

Ugh. What again?

Nakarating na ako sa playground. Sumakay ako sa isang swing and made it move myself.

"What are you doing here?" Taas kilay kong tanong.

"Maglalaro. Hindi ba obvious?"

Pss. I'm not dumb for him to joke around me. "Are you stupid,Daze? You can't fool me. Stop the shitty stuff."

Bigla siyang umupo sa tabi kong swim si Daze then tried to hold my hand pero tinabig ko ang kamay niya.

"Don't touch me." I said.

"Sige. Sabi mo eh." He said then winked. OMG gross! Okay haha. Just kidding. But he doesn't suit the winking face.

"Aish. Boring naman..." I whispered to myself while swinging myself.

"Gusto mo maglaro?" Biglang tanong ni Daze. Ugh. He heard that?

"Ng ano?"

"Falling Game.."

Falling Game? Narinig ko na yon sa mga chismis but I have never played it before. "How does that work?"

"Uhmm.. magiging tayo for two weeks. Yung rules ay dapat magkunwari tayo as isang couple. Sa katapusan ng two weeks, magsasabi na tayo sa isa't isa ng feelings natin. Ang choices ay Kung na-fall na or wala pa rin. Kung na-fall tayo sa isa't isa, pwede natin iuloy ang relasyon pero wala ng laro." Sinubukan ko muna i-process  at sink in sa utak ko lahat ng sinabi niya. "Ano? Game?"

Huh? Bakit niya naman naisip Yung game na ito. "Sige pero bakit mo naman naisip itong laro na Ito ang laruin natin? Please don't tell me it's just a stupid idea."

"Basta." Pss.

"Uhmm.. do you have a prize? May gusto ka bang i-bet?"

Pinagisipan ko muna. Well, I do have charms and I must say that he would fall for me if I would let him. Haha. I'll bet on something good but not to be wasted.

"Sure. If one of us fall for another, they'll pay the other a 500 bill and be a slave for a WEEK! Pero kung hindi na-fall, just continue as friends."

"Ah sige.. Pero alam mo ba kung bakit kita yinayaya ilaro ito?"

I wondered. Kanina ko pa nga tinatanong eh.  "Why? I was just asking a while ago."

I had my mouth opened when he stand in front of me and bent alittle to level my face. "Kasi..."

I just grinned. Haha. There's no good reason for him to challenge me in a falling game. Para namang he wants to date me or something. Maybe he just wants money. Pfft! Hahahaha!

"Kasi crush kita,Sofia Taylor.."

Ugh. Yun lang naman pala. Crush niya-- What?! HE HAS A CRUSH ON ME?!
