Dear Elias,
Do you remember this conversation?
"Maria, I need a small favor from you," you began. "The water bill's gone up this month and we're short of... $1500"
"A small favor huh?" I laughed. "I don't know... Elias I have to talk to you about something" I remember feeling unconformable and nervous that day.
"I'll pay you back, just give me time"
"You've been saying that for 4 months-"
"It's not like it's a problem, is it?" you sneered. "Your father's a ****ing millionaire"
"No, of course not- can you just listen, I really need to tell you something"
"Well? Go ahead"
"Not here," I looked around the cafeteria. I still can recall the funny looks people were giving us.
"Why not, you got a problem sweetheart?" your friend, what was his name? Douche-bag? Jerk face? Anyways, he had black hair and brown eyes and he came up from behind me with a nasty smirk on his face.
"I- uh-"
"Hey Elias, why're you even talking to this freak?" another one of your friends said, the one with the blue hair and green eyes. Ironic.
"You're right, why am I talking to her?" You shook your head looking disgusted. "Let's go, she's not important"
I'm not sure if you noticed, but deep donwn those words left a scar on my heart, no matter how much times I denied it.
'It's just for the show' is what I used to tell myself.
'Just for the show'
