Dearest,
Time came in like a deer at night. So fast. Faster than a lighting bolt. One day I was just a girl loving you from a distance and now our arms are wrapped around each other, our limbs tangled, my heart against you chest and your lips pressed against my head. And all I could think about is how warm your body is. How it felt like home.
You are my home.
---
I didn't see you at school today. It was odd. You never skipped a class. You never did. I looked for you, I went to the library, the greenhouse, your favorite bench at the back of our school... But you were nowhere to be found...
I went home that day with a huge rock inside my chest. making scrapes and scratches on my ribs. I don't know where you are. And I can't shake this persistent, needling feeling that something is not quite right. That something is bound to happen. Something that I don't like.
As I was walking towards the blue gate of my house, I saw a familliar built standing beside my mom's flower box. You look like your in deep thoughts because you didn't even noticed I was standing beside you. You almost jumped when I I touched your freezing hands. You gave me a smile that didn't even reached your eyes.
'Is there something wrong?' I asked. But instead of answering, you just hugged me. You hugged me like you were afraid I will disappear any moment.
'Aurick?'
'I love you, you know that right?' I nodded and smiled. He closed his eyes and kissed my temple.
'Promise me you'll stay, baby.'
My forehead knotted and I looked at him with confusion in my eyes.
'What's wrong Aurick?' He heaved a heavy sigh and shook his head.
'Just promise me. You'll stay with me right?'
I want to ask him what's bugging him. I wanted to ask a lot of things but instead I smiled and kissed his cheek.
'Until the very end.' I whispered.
