My mom picked me up early from school so I didn't go to lunch. I stayed home with her watching movies and cuddling on the pull out sofa with a blanket in the cold weather. 'Mom Dustin my friend wanted to meet up' 'of course honey' I left on my bike to Dustin's house I knocked and his mom answered with a cat in her hand 'hello um is Dustin here' 'yes Dustin there's a lovely lady at the door asking for me' she turned around and smiled 'come in'
I came in and sat on the couch Dustin came out 'mom me and rose are going to mikes' 'oh ok be back at 7pm' 'ok mom' 'love you' 'love you more mom' we left on our bikes 'your moms so loving' 'ya she's the best'
We got to mikes and I had butterflies we knocked Mrs.wheeler answered the door 'he's in the basement' 'thanks Mrs.Wheeler' we went down I hesitated and Dustin grabbed my hand and I took a sigh 'Hey mike' he looked up and I smiled 'what do you want' 'I just want to talk' 'well I don't' Dustin and mike could see the tears forming in my eyes 'what the hell mike stop being an ass' 'I'm not being an ass I'm just saying the truth' 'dude you don't even know what she's going through right now do you' 'no I don't care' 'Dustin come on I told you it's piontless' 'no mike she's been crying constantly because of you ok so yes your being ass stop acting like you don't care' he looked up 'do you want to tell him Rose' 'Tell me What' 'her brother passed the day you and Richie said you didn't want anything from her' he looked at me omg rose I'm sorry he hugged me and I cried into his shirt' 'I didn't know I'm sorry for being an ass' 'you weren't-'
'yes I was I only said I didn't want anything to do with you because I didn't want to interfere with you and you looked happy it hurt me I love but i can't be around you like you said we both know where not good for eachother you looked happier with him I didn't want to ruin that it hurt me just too see you and know that I couldn't be with you and couldn't kiss you I tried to hide it but I can't I just can't I love you Rose I love you but if you want we can just be friends and if Richie ever breaks heart just know that I'm here for you'

I got there and took my brothers sweater off and the shorts I sat on a rock close to the edge and sat watching the sunset while holding onto the sweater crying missing my brother.
