Luke

"Missed me already?"

I didn't know what feelings I had for her. Was I just playing around or did I really just flirt with her? Deciphering feelings is hard.

"Maybe."

A smile surfaced her face and my palms started to sweat. Here it was again: the nervous feeling I have when I'm around her's back again.

She left me to my own speechless world. I didn't know if she was just saying that to tease me back or if she really missed me.

"Is my coffee done yet or what?" The customer patted the table and I snapped out of my mind.

"I'm sorry, here's your coffee." I passed the cup of coffee and looked up to see the customer's face. "Michael?"

"Hey, Luke. Daydreaming about Em in work's a bad habit." He shrugged, taking the coffee and walking out of the cafe.

I was again, left speechless in my own world of thinking. Where was Michael for the past couple of months and what does he know of Maria and I to think like that?

I couldn't focus on anything the whole day.

"Are you okay?" Maria asked, it was only the both of us in the locker room.

"Yeah."

No, I'm contemplating on what kind of feelings I have for you. My breathing started to get faster and my heart heated faster along with it. I was again, nervous being alone with her.

"Pfft, yeah right. Meera told me she saw you diss a pretty blonde girl today. I heard she specifically asked for your number."

"She did? I didn't even hear anyone ask me for anything but their cup of coffee." I was being honest. I guess I wasn't interested in anyone else but, we all know who.

We didn't usually go home together, as I always went later than Maria usually did. Washing the dishes that were just laid on the counter and cleaning the windows where little kids play with their little hands. I did the cleaning when everyone left. It was some sort of a heroic act of mine. Though, I do think that my cover's blown by now.

"Do you have plans tomorrow after work?" I asked, cutting off the silence. It was a rather chilly night and I enjoyed seeing fog coming out of my mouth when I talked. So tumblr.

She looked at me like I had forgotten something really important. "We're gonna spend the night at Calum's for the weekend, remember? I can't believe you forgot!" She laughed.

I laughed weakly along with her. "Right, right. How could I forget?"

She knitted her eyebrows at me and smiled. "I'm free on Monday, after work." It seemed as though she was also interested in this gigantic pile of shit with blonde hair that I am. I was amused and it was evident on my face.

"Do you like, want to have a movie night? I have Netflix," I snickered at her, taking my apron off and hanging it inside my locker. What a day to be alive, using Netflix as a romantic gesture.

She raised both her brows at me. "Wow, you've got Netflix?! So rare!" She sarcastically acted like she was surprised. I looked at her and frowned. "You, my fake boyfriend, should know that I love Netflix."
