The Doctor to my rescue

Doctor's POV:
I run my hand through my hair, 'what to do, what to do, what to do.' I repeat in my mind over and over, while I walk to Val's room "Val, can I come in?" I ask knocking on her door "that's not my name." Came her voice from the other end, "Mystery, please." "Fine, come in." She says reluctantly, and I open the door to see her packing "what are you doing?" I ask walking in and sitting on the bed next to her suitcase "I'm running." "Why?" "Because I don't know what else to do." She answers closing her suitcase and moving it to sit next to me "You could stay, with me and adventure, see multiple places, meet multiple people, do multiple things," I say holding her hands "please stay Val, I mean Mystery, we're the last of our kind." "Call me Val it feels more right than Mystery dose." "Ok." I answer rubbing gentle circles into the back of her hands with my thumbs "please stay." "Alright, but only because I have no where else to go." She says giving my hands a squeeze, and I let out a sigh of relief, and give her a tight hug, tears of joy forming, 'I'm not alone anymore.' I say to myself "thank you." I say letting her go, Val looked like she was gonna say something when scream came from the center of the TARDIS, we both rush to see what it was only to find the Silurian laying on the floor in a pile of blood "Vicky!" Val yells running to the Silurian's side 'Vicky?' I think to myself, "Val? I didn't think you'd remember me." She says to Val, "of course I remember you, you were there when I was exiled from my home, but why did you try to take me?" She asks pushing on the Silurian's wound. "I thought it was for the better." She answers and then coughs up some blood "who did this to you, Vicky?!" "I didn't get a good look, it was something outside, but Val do something for me ok?" "What is it Vicky?" "Tell him the truth." And Val starts to cry, I walk up to her and put a hand on her shoulder "don't just stand there! Help her Doctor!" She yells at me "no Doctor don't." The Silurian says "why?" Val asks "because it's my time, I'm 99 and I've lived a full and rich life, please let me rest." She says cupping Val's cheek "ok fine but I want you to know you were always like the mom I never had." Val says beginning to sob "and you've always been the daughter I never had, and no matter what just know I'm proud of you." "I love you mum." "I love you to honey." She says taking her last breath and her hand falls to the floor, and Val's sobs get worse and harder, I sit next to her and hug her as she cries in my chest I put my chin on her head "it'll be ok." "How are you so sure?" She says through the tears "because life goes on." And after that she dries her tears and begins to talk with her head still buried in my chest "when Gallifrey fell you weren't the only one that destroyed it, there were two buttons that had to be pushed at the same time, I used my power of sight to time it perfectly, my dad, h-he created the second button so no one person could destroy Gallifrey." After she says that I let out a sigh of relief, it felt like a weight was lifted off my shoulders knowing that I wasn't the only one who did it.
