But of course, it was time for the party. Luckily for you, it was easy enough to sneak away and follow your favorite body guard around while he did his job.

"Don't you have duties as a Prince that you should be attending to?"

"Such as staying alive?" You giggled as you swirled around him in your beautiful gown. "A bodyguard sounds like a good place to do that."

A smile crept onto his face as he watched your sister Woble.

"She's very cute. Stay close while I talk to your..." Kurapika hesitated.

"To Queen Oito." You filled in the blank.

"To Queen Oito." He said. "You should hear it too."

"Queen Oito..." He approached the young woman. "In case the worst should happen, I've prepared some escape routes we can use in case of an emergency, allow me to share my findings with you."

"...Emergency? Are you saying that things are going to get even worse than they are now?" Queen Oito looked at you.

"Things aren't so bad, Queen Oito." You reassured her.

"Well for example, if there's a crash, or riots, or a fire breaks out, it's possible to open the gate connecting the second  and third decks. If everything goes well, we might be able to slip away from the eyes of the tropps and the princes and blend in with the regular passengers." Kurapika's face was all business, which surprised you considering how upset Queen Oito was becoming.

"C-Can we... really d-do something l-like that...?"

"I don't know what might happen, so I'm just preparing. So please, do your best to memorize where the airships, life rafts and flotation devices are deployed from and learn how to use them." He turned to you. "You as well."

"Already done." You rolled your eyes and stroked your sister's cheek. "Most of the older Princes already have."

"Of course." He smiled at you. "Knowledge increases your probability of survival by a substantial amount. When it comes down to life or death, compared to not knowing what to do, knowing but being unsure if you can or not will have a striking effect on your assessment of a situation."

Queen Oito was visibly shaking and you poked Kurapika's back. He looked back at you and you nodded over at the poor woman.

"Your highness... are you okay?!"

"I... h-had prepared myself... I had p-prepared... For u-us... t-to d-d-die on this boat... I... h-had prepared myself... I had p-prepared... I thought... that was what I wanted... but s-suddenly..."

"Queen Oito." You gathered her into your arms. "Perhaps your guards could take you and my beautiful baby sister to your sleeping chambers. It might be best for you to rest for a while."

"Yes, while you do, I shall gather the necessary data and materials." Kurapika nodded and got back on his cell phone.

You sat on the couch in the lounge and relaxed. With Woble leaving, you would have to join the party soon. You waved good-bye to Moskeet, who buzzed wildly around Woble as her bassinet was lifted and carried away.

Kurapika suddenly turned and stared at the group, surprising everyone.

"What's wrong?" You asked him.

"Nothing... Let us return to the party. That is..." He looked at you, "unless you have a quieter place I could return to."

"Well I have an idea. But it's just a bit naughty, is that okay?" You smirked at him.

Your beast stood over you protectively.

"I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Prince." Kurapika chuckled. "But I do truly have work to do."
