"Thanks MacGyver, I've heard a lot about you before, and I'm glad I was finally able to meet you in person," You say shaking Mac's hand after he had just saved you.

"Well, Y/n it was a honor to meet you, absolutely love your work that you've done so far."

You were a scientist who has already been successful in many ways already. "Anyways Y/n Dalton, hopefully I'll see you around," Mac says before leaving.

You were adopted by Jack Dalton as a little girl. Which is why you had the Dalton last name. Jack wanted to keep a part of your own family heritage alive so he kept your birth last name in your name still. Just in case if you were older you wanted to have a part of your past family. Your biological family all died in a car accident. Since then you've been determined to help others through your knowledge of science.

However the young MacGyver questioned you of being related to Jack Dalton, which you explained that he wasn't your father since you had thought MacGyver had somewhat liked you.

Unfortunately he had to leave right after you were safe, "Am I ever going to see you again?" You ask before Mac heads off. This was your way of seeing if there is a chemistry between you two.
"I hope so," the blonde says smiling. "Then take this." You hand him a paper with your number on it. He smiles again and walks away.

I'm off next week, have any plans?

You smile at the text that glows from your phone screen.

To:MacGyver
No plans scheduled.

A few moments later another text is received.

To:Y/n
Dinner? Pick up at 7?
From:MacGyver

You smile even more after reading the text. You couldn't believe that this was actually happening.

To:MacGyver
Dinner it is, I'll see you soon.

And that's how it all started.

"A scientist gone mad, Howard Beckham. Highly praised and very talented. Recently he has gone missing. We believe a terror group is using him to help develop chemical weapons. However with no one on this team other than PaperClip over here we're bringing on another expert to help," Matty says showing all the information on the screen.

"No Matty I think Mac got this. You know stuff about chemicals right? We don't need no backup," Jack argues not enjoying adding on another person to this mission.

"Jack you're not going to like this one," Matty says.

"Hey everyone," you say opening the door and walking in. Everyone staring at you. Mac and Jack especially.
"Oh hey y/n," MacGyver says surprised to see you walking in.
"What in the world, Matty Y/n is not coming on this mission," Jack argues.

"I know you don't agree with this but we both know she is the only other expert on what Beckham was researching on. It's the only way."

"I am not putting my daughter in a dangerous situation. She's staying here." Jack argues back.

"Wait, Jack. Y/n's your daughter?" MacGyver asks confused.
