Redefining Marriage

(I always knew marriage should consist of 3: God, husband & wife.  God created marriage, so who better to seek to redefine what the world has taught us about marriage!  As Christian couples we need to carry each other's burdens to the Lord instead of letting the shame of not measuring up stop us from sharing our struggles.  Marriage is a team effort.  It's not "all about me", it's all about who we are in God...& in marriage two become one. Therefore the husband's battles are his wife's & the wife's battles are her husband's. & if a battle is to be won, we must rely on God!)

How will I know if he will confide in me?

My biggest fear is not his stumble,

but his guilt and shame that causes him to fear me instead of count on me.

I need to be reassured of his openness

Reminded of my beauty

Reminded that I satisfy his every need- spiritual, emotional and physical

I need for him to see our marriage bed as desiring to give himself to me

As I desire to give myself to him

Not for our own desires to satisfy ourselves,

But for our desires to satisfy one another

Let us rejoice in our brokenness so that through God we are made whole

Let us be of like mind and follow Christ as we hold on to one another

Redefine our marriage to the way You intended it to be oh LORD my God.
