Chapter 5 [Apologies]

As Dimitri was dragging me towards his office, all my co workers stared at us in awe. Lilith mouthed a 'What happened' and I just held up my index finger. To tell them I'll explain later.

Once in his office he slammed the door shut, making me jump. He turned me to him and held my face close to his "Who was that man that drove you here" he asked. Crap! So he saw us? I thought to myself.

"Dimitri...I can explain" I said. He cut me off by slamming his lips onto mine. "You're mine Scarlett, I don't know who he is but be with me please, leave him" he said while placing my hand over his heart "Dimitri I can't" I said removing my hand.

"Why not!?" He exclaimed "Because...I love him..." I said and it was true, I did love Joseph. "I see...." He said and walked towards his desk. "I'm sorry" I said "Get to work" he replied coldly. I looked at him worried. I saw no expression in his face but knew damn well he was hurt and mad at me.

As I turned to leave his voice interrupted me "Wait" He said. I stopped in my tracks and immediately turned to him "Yes?" I asked "Sign this contract..." He said. I hesitated and decided to ask him what it was for since I didn't really get what I was reading "What's it for?" I asked.

"Just an agreement that you'll obey all the rules you need to follow and that you will accept any punishment if you decide to commit fraud within the working hours against my company or any of the establishments I own, I'm highly strict about that" he replied. I looked at him still confused "Eh, okay" I shrugged and signed the contract.

I left the office right after but I clearly remember seeing a smirk on his face as I walked away.... Wonder what that was about. Lilith soon came to me "What happened?" She asked right away. "Did you get fired?" Leon asked.

"No, I just got a warning for being late, it is my second day after all but he just made me sign an agreement to follow all rules and respect all establishments he owns, I'm guessing you guys have signed it too" I said "He would've fired us right off the bat, you're lucky" Leon smiled "Wait what contract? He never made us sign any contract like that before" Lilith said, her eyebrows raised.

I looked at her with my mouth open "Has anyone signed a contract about following the rules and respecting all of Mr Sinclair's establishments?" Lilith yelled out so all our co-workers could hear.

Everyone nodded their heads no. Oh god so what the hell did I sign? I asked myself. "I'll be right back" I said as I headed back to Dimitri's office to confront him about it. I opened his door and stepped inside "What exactly did you make me sign!?" I yelled at him.

"Why are you worried about it?" He said while smirking "Because no one's heard about that damn contract you made up. What did you really make me sign?" I demanded. "You'll find out, whatever I want, I get, you just watch" he threatened "what the hell do you want?" I asked.

"You" he replied and crossed his arms over his chest and stared at me smiling "Dimitri, what was that contract for?" I asked more calmly now. I was feeling intimidated by him now. "That you will marry me or you lose everything you have right now, your home, your money, even your parent's can lose all of their belongings they worked so hard for" he said coldly and even chuckled a bit. He looked like a monster.

"WHAT!?" I yelled. He's forcing me to marry him.... I can't do this. "You heard me" he said "That's not fair, you can't do this to me!" I said with tears forming in my eyes "Oh and that's not the best part. You got two weeks TWO to get ready for the wedding" he said while holding up two fingers.

"You imbecile!" I yelled and kicked his door as i walked out. Everyone stared at me in shock. Lilith came up to me but I ignored her and walked straight out. I pulled out my phone to call Joseph to pick me up. He said he was close by and it wouldn't take long.
